The goal? To keep us in fear, because fear weakens the soul's connection to the truth. But for those who know better, this is the time to stand firm.

These deities, known as the Orishas, didn't just sit in the clouds watching us struggle... they walked amongst us, whispered game in our ears when we needed it the most.

Oshun: The Original Bad & Boujee 

You ever wonder why Black folks love gold, honey, and all things luxurious? That's Oshun energy, baby. The goddess of love, beauty, and sweet waters. Oshun is the reason we shine so hard. She teaches us self-love, how to attract abundance, and why it's perfectly okay to be a little extra sometimes. When you see a black woman stepping out in a golden dress, dripping in confidence and smelling like shea butter and success ...just know, that's Oshun moving through her.

Shango: The King of Flexing and Finessing 

You ever met a dude who got that natural big energy. Walks in the room and commands respect without even trying? That's Shango energy. He's the Orisha of thunder, justice, and charisma... the ultimate warrior-king. If Oshun is the reason why we love gold, then Shango is the reason why we wear it like royalty. Ain't nothing new about black men shining... we been rocking crowns since before THEY even knew what diamonds were.

Yemaya: The One Who Got Your Back

You know that feeling when you hug your grandma and suddenly life makes sense again? Thats Yemaya, the great mother of the ocean. She nurtures, she heals, and she don't play about her children. When black women hold us down, when they keep us safe in a world that tries to break us, when they turn pain into power... that's Yemaya at work. 

Papa Legba: The One Who Opens Doors

Now, let's chat about the ultimate gatekeeper...Papa Legba. You know how sometimes, things just work out too perfectly? Like you show up at the right place, meet the right people, and suddenly doors start opening? That's Legba, playing chess while we think it's checkers. He's the reason why we gotta speak intention... because if you ask, he will deliver.
