In Taoist traditions sexual energy is viewed as healing energy and the practitioners learned how to channel it into higher states of consciousness, since it was believed that health, beauty, longevity, youth and vitality could all be achieved through strong and healthy genitals and learning how to circulate the vital sexual energy.
"The gate of earth should be shut tight," we read in an ancient Taoist poem, meaning that the internal energies should not be allowed to flow out through the seat into the earth; instead it should be circulated upward. In Yoga, this is called the mula bandha or "root lock." "The portals of heaven should be first opened." Meaning that the energy center at the crown should be opened, allowing the heavenly energies to fully flow in.
The fire that emerges from the heart when the heart chakra opens, in Taoist language, is thought of as the released yang essence, the dragon.
The yin essence, the tiger, is discovered through spiritual practice, purification, and energetic refinement. When these two fundamental energies are discovered, they can then be consciously brought together in union (referred to as the mating of the dragon and the tiger) resulting in a profound wholeness and nondual awareness. From this awareness of union, a spark of new life awakens in the individual, called the "yellow sprouts" or the "egg".
As this spark of new life is nurtured by the nondual awareness (that is, the sprouts are watered and kept clean), it matures into the "medicine" or the "golden pill" or the "elixir" or the "child". This medicine cures the fundamental illness of separation; the “child” is the new energetic body that is free from the taint of death. It is the new Self, the vast, eternal Self. It is the immortal body. Some Taoist traditions interpret this literally as being free from physical death; others understand this to be a state of awareness that is deathless in the present moment in that it is finally and truly alive in a way not known before -one has been dead until that discovery of life.
Shadow Work: The Witch’s Inner Alchemy
Not all magic is light. Shadow work is the process of facing the hidden parts of yourself—your fears, wounds, and truths you’ve buried. It’s healing through honesty. Power through pain. Magic through self-awareness.
1. What is the “Shadow”?
The shadow is everything you’ve been taught to suppress—anger, shame, trauma, desire, grief. Shadow work is meeting it with compassion, not fear.
2. Signs You’re Ready for Shadow Work:
• You keep repeating emotional patterns
• You’re triggered easily by others
• You feel stuck, blocked, or disconnected
• You want deeper self-awareness and spiritual growth
3. Ways to Begin:
• Journaling Prompts:
– “What do I avoid feeling, and why?”
– “What part of myself do I judge the most?”
• Mirror Work:
Look into your eyes. Say: “I see you. I honor you. You are safe with me.”
• Tarot for the Shadow:
Pull cards to uncover your inner truths, wounds, and hidden desires.
• Meditation or Visualization:
Meet your shadow self in a safe space. Listen. Don’t fix. Just witness.
4. Remember:
Shadow work is not about being perfect—it’s about being whole.
You are both the light and the dark. That’s where your magic lives.

I get everything I want because I get excited and grateful before it materializes. If a desire rises in me—a true one, not something I was conditioned to want—it’s because I already have it in my 5D reality. The desire itself is the transmission, the signal, the message from my future self who’s already living that timeline.
All I have to do in the present is accept that desire, feel it fully, embody the experience of already having it and stay in a state of gratitude. The delay of it materializing in my current reality isn’t a block, a sign that something is wrong or that the desire is not meant for me. The delay is simply time catching up to the frequency I’m holding.
In 5D, manifestations are instant because energetic alignment is all that’s needed. But 3D is slower, denser; it moves through sequence, circumstance and physical rearrangement. So when I align with a desire in 5D, that version of my reality is created immediately but the physical world needs a moment to reorganize around it.
People have to shift. Paths have to intersect. Opportunities have to move toward me. My mental paradigms have to be deconstructed & rebuilt on a framework that lives in the reality in which I already have that desire. My own identity, nervous system and embodiment have to calibrate to the version of me who receives it.
It’s not resistance. It’s not “lack.” It’s just the natural time it takes for matter to catch up with energy.
So my job during the delay is simple: hold the frequency. Stay in the knowing that what I want already exists in a higher dimension and I am just walking toward the physical moment where energy becomes form.
I’m human, I doubt & fall out of alignment. This is where the magic lies because awareness of those moments gives me a choice- are you going to stay in doubt or are you going to step into alignment? By stepping into alignment, I stand guard over my mind and gently shift myself back into the joyful, grounded knowing that:
It’s already mine. I already have it. I’m simply allowing 3D reality to meet me where I already am. What I desire also desires me.

Gender Roles in Astrology
Traditional astrology was brutally strict about gender binarity. Today our vision of this matter is wider, so I offer another approach, partly based on the Jungian concepts of anima and animus, but focused more on planetary roles and the integrity of personal development than on distributing pink and blue badges across the birth chart
First and foremost, we meet the couple of the Sun and Moon. The Moon represents the psyche, perception and our immediate involvement in life. In a woman’s chart, traditional astrology gives it a primary role in matters of embodiment, cyclical existence and the way life is received from inside. Yet the Moon is much more than receptivity or passive reflection. It is the principal planet of perception, the ability to notice, absorb and see beneath the random surface of events. The Moon may become an inner eye for a man and a more natural worldview for a woman, though real people rarely behave like obedient illustrations from an old textbook
This does not define gender identity. Biological sex may give a starting point for symbolic interpretation, but feminine men, masculine women, cis and trans people create much more complicated mixtures between solar and lunar roles. The chart is not a public bathroom sign. It describes how different principles live, clash and negotiate inside a person
The Sun is also a giver of life, but its manner is different. It radiates, expands, chooses and builds a throne for the ego, sometimes a useful throne and sometimes a cheap golden chair dragged into every room. Through its yearly cycle, the Sun develops self-esteem, self-acceptance, focus and the will to act. The Moon nourishes the roots of life, while the Sun pushes that life to announce itself
For an astrological alchemist, realizing the Sun and Moon is one of the first parts of the Great Work. We observe the yearly solar cycle, separate our real wishes from borrowed ambitions, notice where attention gathers and ask what still has enough fire to become action. Lunar development hides in routine, instinctive reactions and the everyday web of the Moon’s house, sign and aspects. Firmicus Maternus in the Mathesis gives useful material for understanding the Moon’s condition, especially its fading, afflicted or submerged states. The progressed Moon adds another layer, showing how the inner climate changes while the natal chart continues pretending to be a permanent document
For women, the Sun can describe the exit from objectification and male judgment, the part of the psyche that claims subjectivity, autonomy and the right to lead its own life. In a masculine woman, it may become an inner lighthouse, a private temple where she sits as her own priestess instead of waiting for someone to approve the ceremony. In a feminine man, the Sun may be the hard core beneath a thinner lunar coat of adaptation, sensitivity and social response
For a trans woman, the Sun can illuminate those buried fragments of power that must be transformed rather than simply amputated from the personality. Masculinity here does not need to remain a prison. It may be melted into courage, creative will and the ability to protect a softer form of life. For other trans people, the Sun and Moon can describe the ongoing work of balance, recognition and bodily comfort, a symbolic game much more complex than declaring one planet correct and throwing the other into spiritual trash
For a cis man, the Sun often speaks more directly through ego, desire, command and the will to show himself. Left without the Moon, this power may rot into autocracy, emotional stupidity and violent hysteria. The Moon may appear first as the dreamed woman of his life, then, with some luck and enough self-reflection, as something he must discover inside himself before demanding that another person carry it for him. This inner recognition gives him a better chance to love a real woman, or a real man, instead of chasing a lunar projection wearing somebody else’s face
Integrity begins where the day of the Sun and the night of the Moon stop fighting for sole ownership of the sky. Your starting point matters, but it is not the final verdict. The goal is a living blend of perception and will, nourishment and radiance, adaptation and sovereignty, shaping the person you are and the person you are still trying to become
This is not fandom drama dressed as metaphysics. It is a realistic reading of symbols, or at least my attempt at one. These are my astrological sophistries, built from practical experience, traditional astrology and the older schools of psychology that still knew the human psyche was more complicated than a profile description
