Hello Lovelies!! This is the second part to Closed Doors. Hope that you like it!!!
genre: Angst, fluff
Warnings: Amber being a badass, some violence
Summary: After you were taken away from her, Amber makes it her mission to find you and make you hers. She’s going to rescue you, if it’s the last thing she does.
Sweat dripped down Amber’s face, her muscles screamed their protest to the over use, but her mind was still sharp. She threw a one, two, uppercut, hitting the punching dummy she was focused on. She was going to find you, before you had to get married to whatever dumb fuck your dad was forcing you to marry, and she was going to take you away, far away, or she was go die trying.
“Amber,” her friend, Eric Nam, called as he watched her, concern growing with her obsession over you.
“What?” she grunted as she threw a sidekick, turned and threw a spinning round house.
“Stop,” he said, getting in front of the dummy. Amber barely had time to stop her punch from hitting his face. “She’s probably already married, Amber. It’s been a year.”
“Y/N would put it off,” Amber said, her eyes narrowing. “They would put it off as much as possible.”
“It’s been a year,” he repeated.
“They love me!” Amber screamed, her face turning red. “They fucking love me!”
“I’m not saying Y/N doesn’t,” Eric said, already regretting hurting his best friend. “I know Y/N loves you, just like you love them, but I’m saying Y/N might not have had a choice.” He sighed, as she just grew angrier and angrier. “You’ve been training for this whole year, and you’ve been obsessing over finding this.”
“Y/N’s waiting for me to find them,” Amber said, punching past Eric to the dummy. Eric flinched, and Amber felt a pang of guilt for a second, then she focused on you. You were waiting for Amber to find you. “I’m not going to stop now. I am going to find Y/N.” She glared at Eric. “Now you can stand there and blubber about how this isn’t healthy for me, or you can go home. You’re not distracting me from finding them.”
Eric sighed, shook his head, and walked out of what used to be Amber’s living room.
The day she lost you, it stands perfectly clear in Amber’s mind. The absolute terror she felt when those men came to take you from the café. Amber running after the car, needing to get to you. She remembered the determination she felt when she went to confront your father and get you back. She also remembered the sadness and the heartbreak that was on your face when you told her that she had to leave you now.
Amber remembered feeling the loss, not knowing how she was going to get along without you, but also knowing that she was going to rescue you. There was no way that she was going to allow your father to dictate who you were going to marry, not when you were meant to be with Amber.
The wedding announcement stared at Amber, causing her anger to boil over. The online announcement had a picture of you, one that Amber had taken a long time ago. You were smiling and the light in your eyes was because Amber had been making you laugh behind the phone. The picture of the man was someone that she didn’t know, but he was insignificant, unless he tried to stop Amber that is.
The wedding was in three days, at a church that Amber knew well. Amber had three days to convince you not to go through with the wedding. She had three days to remind you of what you meant to her, and what Amber meant to you. She had three days to get you to leave with her, and never come back, never answer to your father again.
She knew where you would be. If you needed to relax, if you were stressed and needed a break, then you needed one thing…a good book. You were going to be at the local library, and Amber was going to find you there.
With a nod, Amber took her keys, got into her car, and went to the library. She walked in, knowing where you were going to be. She walked to the young adult fantasy section, and there you were, sitting down, reading a book, with two big goons next to you. These men knew who she was, because the second they spotted Amber, they started the walk to her. Amber threw them a little smirk. She was no longer afraid of your father’s men. She knew how to protect herself, and you.
With a nod, to let them know that she saw them coming at her, Amber made her way to the bathroom. There was nobody there, and Amber thanked her lucky stars. She hid behind the door, and as soon as the door swung open, Amber pushed it hard. The man tumbled into the ladies’ room, and Amber stomped on his head twice, putting all the strength she could muster into the stomp. The other man walked in, and Amber cupped her hand, throat punching him hard. She felt his larynx collapse under her punch. As she pulled her hand back, she put all her force into the up swing, and punched him in the nose hard. Her other hand came up and punched him in the temple twice, and he went down next to his buddy. Amber grinned. Bet they hadn’t been expecting that.
Amber hurried out of the bathroom, and ran over to where you were. She pulled out the chair, sat down, startling you into turning in her direction. Your eyes widened, and she grinned at you, wanting so desperately to kiss you.
“What are you doing here? My dad’s men are going to come back any second,” you said, clearly still concerned over her. “You have to leave, now!”
“I’m not leaving without you,” Amber said, shaking her head. “You don’t’ have to worry about your dad’s men. I took care of them.”
“What?” you asked, clearly not expecting this from Amber either. “What do you mean?”
“They are knocked out in the women’s bathroom,” Amber answered proudly. “I’ve been preparing for this day since you left me.”
“Amber, I can’t go with you,” you said, tears in your eyes. “My father will not stop looking for me. And when he finds out that you were a part of this, he’s not going to stop looking for you. I need to marry Marcus.”
“Y/N—”
“What we had, I will always treasure it,” you said, putting your hands on Amber’s face. “But it’s over. I will never love anyone the way that I love you, believe that. But the truth is that I have got to do what my dad wants, so that you are safe.” A tear raced down your face, and Amber wanted to wipe it away. “I can’t stand the thought of something happening to you.”
“I’m not giving up on you,” Amber said, a fierceness in her voice that had everything to do with you. “I’m going to take you away.”
Amber looked at the church. There were so many cars outside, everyone was inside, and so were you. You were in your wedding dress. That moron, Marcus was in a tux and you two were probably exchanging vows now. Amber made up her mind and got out of her car. She took her fop and readied it to start the car as soon as she needed it.
With a deep breath, she pulled open the doors, drawing everyone’s attention. Your father growled, motioning to the two men that she had beat up in the library. They ran at her, and Amber smiled. The one with a broken nose came closer and she turned throwing her elbow back into his nose, rebreaking it. He screamed and fell to the floor. The other man came at her, and Amber threw her palm out, hitting his nose with the heel of her hand, breaking his nose. He fell to the floor too. Then Amber made it to you.
“I don’t care what your dad does or what he says. I’m not leaving without you, and I’m not letting you marry this idiot,” Amber said, holding her hand out. “I’m not scared. I can protect you. We can and will disappear. Now take my hand, and let’s get the hell out of here.”
You took her hand, her fingers closed over your hand firmly, and with a racing heart, she pulled you through the church and to the front doors.
“Y/N!” your dad bellowed, and you squeaked.
Amber didn’t let you go. She kept right on pulling you when you would have stopped, and then you were through the church doors. She pulled her fop out and turned on the car, all the while pulling you to the car. She let go, so that you could climb into the passenger’s side, and she climbed into the driver’s side. Before anybody could come out of the church, Amber was speeding down the street, heading to the meet up point she had with Eric. She would switch cars, and change into something appropriate, and then take you to Vegas.
She pulled into the store, driving around back, where Eric was waiting with a white SUV, filled with clothes, toiletries, and everything else they need to leave forever. Eric looked up as she pulled up, and Amber turned to look at her.
“Get out of the car, get into the SUV, I’ll be right there,” she said, nodding. She wanted to kiss you so badly, but she needed to make sure that you two were safe first. “I have to get some things from Eric, and then we can go.”
“Who is Eric?” you asked, your pretty brow furrowing in curiosity.
“A friend, someone who was there for me when I really needed someone,” Amber answered, opening the door.
“Wait, what? Amber,” you called.
“Baby, please get into the other car,” Amber said, getting frustrated. “We don’t have much time. I have to change, but I’ll explain everything when I get everything I need.”
Amber went and changed into a suit. When she came back, Eric handed her IDs, social security cards, birth certificates, money, bank cards, and bank account info. She heard the car door open as you got out of the car, and Eric smiled at you.
“I’m Y/N,” she heard you say next to her. “I hear you helped this crazy woman when she needed you.”
“Guilty,” he said, nodding. “I’m Eric, and I’m glad that you chose her instead of your fiancé. I don’t like to think about what she would have done if you hadn’t.”
“Baby, please get in the car,” she said, exasperated, and you smirked.
“Did you already forget that I don’t like being told what to do?” you asked, and she sighed.
“No, I didn’t,” Amber answered, closing her eyes, and pinching the bridge of her nose. “I was hoping that the urgency of us needing to speed away would give me some leeway though.”
“I’ll go then,” you answered, still smirking. “I’ll see you later, Eric.”
You got into the SUV, and Eric grinned at Amber. “I can see why you like her,” he said, nodding. “She’s going to drive you crazy.”
“But I’d rather have her crazy with me than with someone else,” Amber answered, and she sighed. “Is everything ready in Vegas?”
“Yes, and the plane to take you to Greece too,” Eric said, nodding again.
Amber nodded, hugged him, and then got into the SUV. They drove away, Amber pointing the car towards Vegas. You turned to look at her, and she kept her eyes on the road. She was not going to spoil the surprise as to where she was going to take you.
“Where are we going?” you asked.
“Somewhere,” Amber answered.
“You said you would tell me when you had everything you needed,” you countered, and Amber turned to look at you.
“I don’t’ have everything I need,” she answered. “But when we get there, and take care of business, I will have everything set, and I will tell you where we are going, ok?”
“Fine,” you said, and settled into the seat, turning away from her.
Amber smiled. You didn’t like surprises, and you didn’t like being kept in the dark, and she didn’t want you upset, but she wasn’t’ going to tell you. She reached out taking your hand in hers. She grinned, loving the feel of your hand in hers. She’d missed you all year long.
Amber pulled into the parking lot of the chapel in Vegas. You had dozed off at some point, and so she reached out and gently shook you awake. You moaned softly, making her smile, and then you stretched. You blinked awake, and then you looked over at her. Your answering smile brought butterflies to her stomach, but she had a mission to accomplish.
She went around to the other side of the car, opened the door, and helped you out of the car. You stretched, and when you moved in to give her a kiss, Amber shook her head. You pouted, suddenly wondering if something was up and she didn’t want you anymore.
She led you into the building quickly, before you could get a good look at where you were. A woman at the front smiled, and asked for your ID, and then she congratulated you and Amber when IDs were presented. Amber pulled you through, and that’s when you noticed. You were in a chapel, and the whole thing was decorated for weddings. You tried to pull Amber to a stop, but she pulled you right along.
“Amber!” you said, and she sighed.
“Baby, we don’t’ have time,” she said, looking back at you as she walked. “We have to get this done now, so that your dad can’t take you away.”
“You’re really going to marry me to keep me from my dad,” you said, sounding rather hurt and angry.
Amber stopped then, and turned to face you. “No,” she said, shaking her head. “I am marrying you because I love you, and being without you this past year has been the absolute worst feeling in my life, and I don’t’ want to go back to that.” She took in a deep breath and sighed. “Once we are safely away, I will propose and we can plan a proper wedding, but for now, I need to make sure that you are mine, and that nobody is going to take you away from me again.”
You smiled, looking down, and nodding your head. Amber finished pulling you to the front of the chapel. The officiant was smiling and waiting. Amber gave him a wad of cash, that had you wondering where she’d gotten it.
“I believe Eric talked to you,” Amber said, and the officiant nodded.
“Do you Amber Liu take Y/N Y/L/N to be your lawfully wedded spouse?” he asked.
“I do,” Amber answered without hesitation.
“Do you, Y/N Y/L/N take Amber Liu to be your lawfully wedded spouse?” he asked, and you looked at Amber.
“Are you sure?” you asked, knowing that this meant angering your father, the only person you were terrified of.
“I’ve never been more certain,” she answered, her eyes locking with yours. “You are my life and my future, no matter where we are.”
You smiled. “Then I do,” you answered, looking at the officiant.
“You’re married, now hurry up and get out of here,” he said, handing the certificate to Amber. “It has your real names, and the one under it has your fake ones. Hurry up and leave.”
Amber smiled, turned to look at you, and kissed you hard and passionately. “Once we get home, we’ll consummate this marriage, but until then, just know that I am so fucking in love with you.”
You were laughing and crying and nodding all at the same time. “I am so fucking in love with you too. I can’t believe you didn’t give up on me for a whole year.”
“Never,” she said, and then pulled you out of the church.
You stood outside of your balcony, the Mediterranean Sea visible from your house on the side of the mountain. The little Greek town that you and Amber lived in was picturesque and charming, and very old school. The people were sweet and loving and very hospitable. You had come to this little town in the dead of night two months ago, and that night, you and Amber had christened the house as yours. Then that night, you’d had to confess something to her. Your father had helped Marcus sleep with you, and you were pregnant, as a way to ensure that you would marry him. Amber had been pissed, but she had told you it was ok.
Now you stroked your bump of two months, barely a bump really, and sighed. You knew that you would have never forgotten Amber, because she’d been the one thing in your crazy life that you had chosen for yourself, but you had never guessed that she would never let you go. You were so happy and you knew it didn’t matter who came for you, you were safe with her.
“How are my two babies?” Amber’s voice asked, as she walked into the bedroom.
Your overalls did very little to hide the baby bump, and you turned to look at her. “We are just fine thanks,” you answered, and she came over to kiss your belly. “How are you?”
“Finding the inspiration I needed,” she answered, holding out a bag of money. “I was able to make some sales at work and Tula gave me a bonus.”
“Bless her,” you giggled.
Amber put the money in a jar, their child fund, and gestured with her chin to the beach. “Let’s go down there and walk the beach,” she said, holding her hand out to you, a ring matching yours catching your eye.
With a smile, you took her hand, accepting that there was nothing you would deny her ever again.
The end
