A scene from a very epic dream I had. As finished as it might ever be, as I am not satisfied with my attempts to colour it.

The planet was unwelcome host to a number of alien/extradimensional creatures. In this particular scene I was seeking refuge in a barn, I observed a circle of what seemed to be living statues made of rounded stones with lines carved in them, all facing towards their centre. They were approached by ghoulish humanoids at their bases. I was not afraid of this strange spectacle of monsters and it soon dawned on me that I was observing a mating ritual. Extreme sexual dimorphism.

The males (the ghouls) were being attracted to the females (the statues) though this ritual. At an exact moment that would indicate the ritual's end, the females would stoop over and bite the heads off of the males - the genetic materials of the ingested heads serving to inseminate the females. 

Unfortunately a man with us - I assume he was some sort of news cameraman - had wandered too close to this scene in wonder, and was mistaken by the creature in the bottom right as a participant. He was killed instantly, his head eaten.
