I’ve been rereading every Kit moment from previous books, and I literally cry every time. He believes he is so unloved that it genuinely breaks me. I can’t get through this scene of him and Jem without bawling my eyes out every single time.
I’m so excited to see how much he has grown in TWP, I know he won’t have lived with Tessa and Jem too long, but I know they’ve put in the work to make him just as thoughtful and amazing as they are. (He already was, but with a loving and stable home it’s going to be that but ten fold.)

I hope to see Julian living his best life in this new series. I know we got to see a lot of him in SOBH, but even then he was still so worried about things. I know he is a father figure to his younger siblings, but I hope he knows that it’s okay to take a step back. I also hope he knows that he has support now, and if anything happens to him I. Will. Riot. With. Pitchforks. And. Torches.
Jem Carstairs set the bar. If any one of the idiots doesn’t meet that bar for Drusilla, I hope we see Kit being like “BOOO NO HES NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU, HE NEEDS TO BE WORSHIPPING THE GROUND YOU WALK ON” and then he’s giving the said idiot back handed compliments and being passive aggressive. Because Herondale sass and sarcasm seasoned with a small touch of queerness would be SO PEAK.
The whole Kit and Ty situation will have me in a chokehold until the end of time. What do you mean they loved each other at 15 but one was too worried about losing his first best friend and the other was too locked in on bringing his sister back from the dead. Neither could understand what the other was going through, and they both couldn’t communicate that because they were just kids.
I know this will continue after they reunite, and I’m so not ready because when they fought at the end of Queen of Air and Darkness I cried for almost an hour. Here’s to hoping that they will resolve things during the first book because if they don’t I may have a crying session reserved for each chapter.
Kit could almost always tell what Ty was feeling emotionally, however all the times Ty let Kit initiate physical touch when he wouldn’t allow anyone else to. All the times when Ty obviously let Kit know he needed him. Also those times Ty would grab Kit’s hand, his sleeve, or his arm. All the times when Ty would quite literally flirt with Kit, and Kit just thought “oh this means nothing. We are friends” Kit could never see that those were Ty’s way of reciprocating his feelings. Like most, if not all, Herondales, Kit is an oblivious fool.
Ty had no idea how Kit felt the whole time, and I believe that’s why Ty was so upset when he said “You lied to me, just like everyone else.” He wasn’t just mad at Kit for not saying he no longer wished to raise Livvy, he was also mad because Kit never told him how he felt. He’s mad that Kit waited so long to tell him, and he’s mad that the one person that understood him other than his own twin left him to be alone. Ty knew that Kit had been the only person to ever see him.
I’m yearning for a specific line to be said in TWP.

Theory time:
What if the last shadowhunter is Livvy? What if somehow Raziel comes down and strips all shadowhunters of their marks because of how bad things have gone, but in turn makes Livvy a shadowhunter that can never die? I definitely feel like Livvy and Ty’s whole necromancy situation has to do with the end of the world, so it would kind of make sense that the angel would prevent the end by making this happen. I know it’s a bit of a reach, but I always have a fun time coming up with these random theories.
I physically cannot comprehend the thought that there probably won’t be any Thule scenes in TWP OR JUST BARELY????? WHAT THE FCUK DO YOU MEAN CASSIE??? ALL OF MY THEORIES JUST WENT TO SHIT???
