PHIGHTING: DARKEST MOUNTAINS

Potionsmith, in her panicked state, burst through the door. Obviously the two others were frightened, to say the least.

She realized too late that her words would obligate her to explain her situation. She had to tell them the truth.

Potionsmith wiped her tears away, and steadied her emotions. She didn't have time to think about that, for there were other matters at hand.

There were shadows beyond the screen door in front of her. One with horns vaguely resembling an ogre from the folklore of this area, and one that seemed almost catlike.

She stood up, albeit with difficulty, and slowly but surely made her way to the shoji doors separating her and the next room.

She slid the doors open, and in front of her were two demons in the midst of a conversation. They didn't seem to notice Potionsmith.

Overnight, the spell dissipated the crystals and healed her wounds.

Potionsmith slept deeply through the night, and most of the morning as well. At about 11 AM, her senses began to return to her.

Potionsmith was nauseous, and her body ached horribly. She managed to suppress the symptoms, calming herself down and giving her time to assess the situation.

The robotic voices repeated over and over.

[FOLLOWING COMMAND: DO NOT LET HER GET AWAY]

For days, Potionsmith was chased.

She was bleeding, starving, and was dying from the crystals lodged in her body. But she had to keep running.

Or the worst would happen.

But after a long, painful journey, she found herself at the doorstep of a certain flowery demon.

As Potionsmith fell to the ground, the unknown woman swiftly took her in, patched the wounds on her face, and laid her down on a futon.

The crystals burned the woman's fingers, and a wave of pain shook her entire body.

Unsure of what to do next, she cast a healing spell over the injured traveler.
