Blackrock was the first faction to develop nuclear weapons, go figure, and were planning on launching one at Playground, more specifically Splintered Skies, because Windforce can't do shit. The Korblox Administration had brought the weapon to the launch site, and was prepared for launch the next Lumeday.
A heartbeat is faintly heard throughout the launch site. An automated X-ray shows an organic mass in the shape of a heart is shown to replace all internal workings of the atomic bomb. Several vessel-like strings hold the heart in the middle of the shell as the lone scientist stares in awe.
As per protocol, the scientist quickly transmits to HQ.

The story of the Barnacle hinges itself upon the sinking of a ship that happend sometime around a decade ago. One of the knights thought it would be something funny to make up a ghost story about it i guess.
It's said that the ship ran into a True Eye vessel and bravely fought against the cult for three days and three nights. Yet, they still wound up being sunk, though not before having taken a good chunk of the opposers now.
Legend says that nowadays, the spirit of the once-captain hunts those waters and sinks any ships that come near. I personally find the entire story rather distasteful torwards those who fell, but to each their own.„

I don't really have much to comment on, I like this lore and am picturing Rocket, fittingly, rocketing out of the depths after saving Sword.
i've had an AU in my head about the concept of inphernal's gears being able to become animate and move around n such, kind of like familiars or mimics. incoming huge yap sesh
tl;dr: inphernals have pokemon-esque creatures that come from their gear and are spiritually linked to them. while they are beneficial companions to have they can also be detrimental depending on what happens
the current working title of the AU is "Phighting: Anima", or just P:A. in the world of P:A, inphernals are tied to a sort of mythical creature that is based on and represents their gear, called gear anima. gear anima will usually resemble their inphernal's gear in ways, and can also resemble a specific creature, but will usually appear mechanical or artificial. they can transform from their inanimate (the normal gear) and animate (the animal-like gear) at will, but it can also be forced by their connected inphernal.
gear anima are linked to their chosen inphernal via their power in a "spiritual" sort of way. an inphernal's "essence" will sort of flow into the gear anima, empowering it (and vise versa). this connection is formed upon their spawning, and lets the inphernal manifest their gear anima from their gear immediately after their spawning.
as a result of this connection, sometimes the power scale can shift from one side to the other, with empowering and debilitating effects depending on what side it comes from.
on the inphernal's side, this involves gear modification, where the gear anima is enhanced in various ways to shift its appearance and function to the inphernal's will. in scythe's case, her gear anima, which usually resembles a praying mantis in it's "scythe" form, will shift to a scorpion in it's "rifle" form, with bullets coming from it's newly formed tail.
on the gear anima's side, this takes the form of physical ailments and curses. physical ailments some from the gear anima's stress, pain, and rage diffusing onto their inphernal, and curses come from the gear anima having an abnormally large amount of essence compared to their inphernal upon their spawning
subspace's anima, which was also modified (presumably), afflicts subspace in the form of his rot, which is why it does not have a cure. due to the nature of their situation, subspace's gear anima will eventually kill both itself and subspace as a result of the rot
vinestaff's anima was infused with a large amount of essence upon their spawning, which reflected onto vinestaff in the form of her cursed arm. despite the supposed "curse", vinestaff has a positive relationship with her gear anima, and vise versa

Never knew I wanted to see Vine put in the shoes of a determined artist, but here we are! That persistence to keep doing what she does, no matter what others say, ties in with her pre-existing lore SO well.
Even if Shuri was mostly put into Akito’s role because of his relation to Vine, I can still see it!
Don’t really have anything meaningful to say about Slingshot, honestly. But I do like the idea of him rocking a dress.

As for Mafuyu…maybe Medkit? Again, I used the wiki. But a mostly-stoic someone who ran away from home, and was pressured into being a doctor before that kinda gives Medkit to me.

so with the swap AU done, next on the block would be a fell version right? But uhh, the Phighting universe already kinda follows the kill or be killed mentality, meaning if i were to fell-ify it, it would just be more edgy. Also i dont like fell au’s that much so i wont. Anyways I’ll expand a bit more on Conphlict
After the faction war, Hyperlaser just decide to not intervene with his home faction, and just left to thieves den and just refuses to get involved in faction stuff. He very accidentally ended up as a father figure to Shuriken & Vinestaff, and is not happy, but wont do anything about it. Oh yeah also in this AU Hyperlaser specifically has the red Hyperlaser gear instead of the blue one.
in This AU, Shuriken is the one with the curse, and instead of it being an arm, its his legs, which fused together to form a sort of snake like bottom half. Basically Shuriken is a tree naga.
Katana is a freelance mercenary, and is far more disconnected to Medkit then cannon Hyperlaser was to Subspace. Medkit just has a bunch of Coils around him for protection, and if he needs someone dead and cant have his Coil’s do it, he hires Katana. I based my idea for this version of Katana off of IRL samurai. Basically: Katana using a shotgun.
Zuka in this AU is basically soldier TF2. Rejected from every branch of the blackrock military due to so, so many mental disorders (and also lead poisoning), he built a mech suit from scrap and went to fight in the faction war himself. He kept fighting in the faction war for about 3 years after it ended, and once he learned it was over, he tried returning Blackrock, but Blackrock had ordered a kill on sight order on him, so he ran away, and ended up joining Ban-hammers gang.
Banhammer, instead of joining the cult of the true eye, just started his own gang. Currently he has a small group of goons (as in henchmen) alongside Zuka & Subspace. He is also (like Zuka) very insane. He truly does believe he is a Demi-god, despite not being one in this AU. He is still obsessed with justice & the law, but he is also even more corrupt then in canon.
the reason for why the SFOTH aren’t swapped is because there are 7, and unlike Slingshot, there isn’t a secret 9th sword in SFOTH 4 that i can use.

I sadly struggle to articulate what this AU feels to me, but I guess the word I’m looking for would be ‘fleshed-out’? Like- I dunno. The way you’ve adapted each character to their new role just feels right. It doesn't come off as terribly out of character (even with alternate personalities, as shown in your AU).

reworking a bit the horribly managed school au and by that I mean. changing the classes
three years, three classes each based on grades. we don't care about year 1 and only halfway about year 2. year 3 is where most of our gang is at!
(imagine all the classes are even. ofc there's other students that are side characters n stuff but I haven't written them down in the classes for this)
CLASS A is Vine Staff, Valk, Dom and Paint Buckèt
CLASS B is Sword, Rocket, Slingshot and Boombox
CLASS C is Skateboard, Shuriken, Coil, Mx Bot and Spray Paint
in YEAR 2 we care about CLASS A for Pwnatious, CLASS B for Steampunk and Rainbeau and CLASS C for Traffic !

au where after vinestaff frees doomsekkar, ghostwalker finds out about it and as punishment for messing with something she shouldn't have been, gets sealed away instead. doomsekkar finds out about vinestaff getting sealed, and highkey feels super bad about it. so she makes it her goal to find and release vinestaff from her seal, and at some point teams up with shuriken and slingshot who just really want to find their sister after shes been missing for months.
