But the thing is- Babe hasn't had this realization. He's still operating how he and Charlie have done the past year, even if he did listen to Charlie's concerns in the hospital. Otherwise Babe is continuing to keep things to himself because he thinks he can handle Willy on his own, coupled with the need to protect Charlie, who he's already lost once.

So now we have Charlie, starting to see the cracks in the relationship, who has had his insecurities brought to the surface, who has realized Babe isn't being fully honest with him (yes, Babe is telling the truth that nothing is going on between him and Willy but still chooses not to let Charlie in on the hot tub plan) walk in on what, from Charlie's perspective at this point, could be a completely consensual situation between Babe and Willy (even though we all know it absolutely is not consensual and Willy deserves a good kick in the balls).

They both love each other so much and they're afraid of losing each other. So they would rather hide things from the other and do things in their own way thinking that it's the best way to keep the other safe

Babe already doesn't like how charlie is sacrificing his own will being in the experiment. He doesn't want Charlie to deal with anything more. So he pretends he is fine not to make it harder on charlie. He doesn't want Charlie to get involved with willy he doesn't want him to be in danger or to worry about his existence. So he deals with him on his own.

And that's really dangerous and dumb because he's playing in willy's palm. He's putting himself in danger to make sure nothing will harm Charlie.

Call me crazy but this is probably my favorite scene. I love a good, emotional driven scene. And Pavel for sure knows how to tear me apart! BUT Pooh as well. This whole scene has been a long time coming with everything that Charlie has seen and endured. And especially hearing from babe, and he had a lot of pent-up feelings.

And the things he says make me really think that he's probably thought these things but didn't dare voice them to Charlie because he doesn't want Charlie to feel bad. And the timing of this situation now it all just came out But the way Charlie kind of took that all in cuz he's hearing this obviously for the first time hearing how babe is telling him he's feeling lonely in his own relationship. Babe brings up how this all goes back to the lab, and Charlie says that it doesn't connect. But it actually does because Charlie is saying that babe doesn't consider his feelings when he makes decisions.

Whereas babe is saying that that's not true, he does consider his feelings, especially in this whole situation with the lab. Cause Charlie's life is on the line in that whole situation, nothing is really promised, but he will be okay as many times as Charlie can reassure him it's just not promised. Babe pushed his feelings aside and supported him because he knew how much Charlie was dedicated to this. If Babe did have it his way, he probably wouldn't let Charlie do, let's be honest.

The "I'm your boyfriend" Charlie is about to make sure babe knows who he's with!
