I love the versions of the Jennys I have in my mind.

Jenny Ghost is renamed Jenny Burton (after Moira Burton, her avatar in the series). She is a butch lesbian married to Jinny. IMPORTANT!! She is still called SIR!! I need this. She grew up in a very patriarchal christian household and suffered from comphet until she moved out and met Jinny. She can be extremely hot headed sometimes. Also, she's the werewolf in the relationship.

Jenny Toast is renamed Jinny Windsor. She may or may not be related to the British royal family (as her last name would imply). She's not telling. She is bisexual, wears nu goth fashion, and is a practicing witch. She also likes reading historical documents and newspaper articles related to the places they hunt. I think Jinny grew up in a financially secure and fairly loving household, but was just kind of Off as a kid. You know, sometimes kids are just off-putting. Related: she might be autistic.

It’s time for another yap session about why I give a fuck about Ghost/Gavin, a ship so rare there’s two (2) entire fics on ao3, and one of them is mine.

We all know Ghost has major anger issues. In my version of him atleast, besides just being part of his personality regardless, this stems from trauma. He is ALWAYS in fight or flight mode, except somewhere along the road, his brain forgot flight was an option.

Toast is. Not. He doesn’t get angry nearly as often, and he’s quieter about it when he does. (Ignoring the admittedly hilarious times he contradicts this in the videos.) He knows the reasons behind Ghost’s anger, and he’s always there to support him in any way he needs, as much as he’s able too. But he reacts to his own trauma MUCH differently than Ghost, so he can’t relate to those feelings.

Gavin, on the other hand, definitely leans toward’s Ghost’s way of processing trauma. It’s less intense in some regards, and he’s one fuck of a lot better at hiding it, but it’s there all the same. He and Ghost can relate to eachother in a way that Ghost and Toast never can.
