i was working on a longer more professional version of this post about the ghost x toast taleblr anonymous "incident" that happened like 1-2 years ago but it's taking to long so I'm gonna cut straight to the point bc its eating away at me đđđ
DISCLAIMER ITS NOT MY GOAL TO HARASS OR UPSET ANYONE WITH THIS! These are just my thoughts.
It's OKAY to admit that Ghost x Toast is a mainstream popular white boy ship that is favored over other ships. (at least white in source material. i know not everyone views the character as white shout out to you guys.)
there is nothing WRONG with wanting other ships to have more of a spotlight. and i dont even mean "rival" ships just ships in general.
plus our community is so small, we have the power to improve and make our community healthier! I BELIEVE IN US!!
then theres the whole part where people thought i was the anon that the actual anon had to come forward blah blah blah who cares it was dumb i can talk about it later bc currently idagf đ
i forgot i put this in my queue, its from a few months ago. (i was scared/lh)
the reason i made this was bc on some anonymous taleblr post that got blown up for having this opinion. and people thought it was me. because apparently i'm the ONLY one who could even hold such an opinion! it wasnt me by rhe way, the person had to come out and say it was them because of how people were pointing fingers and trying to start shit
it wasnt even hostile mind you. people just got upset. and its going to probably happen again with this.
also let me just say,
to think i would WILLINGLY put myself in line of potential drama like that AGAIN?? after everything i went through is genuinely insane. i was harassed terribly and impacted me negatively for the rest of my life. someone thought i'd do it again for shits and gighles đ NO! I DONT!! the mOMENT i saw that taleblr anon i had to run to my page and say it wasnt me bc i know how people are!!! AND PEOPLE SUCK!! also the stuff i said was like almost 10 years ago....
anyways. yeah. Ghost x Toast still isnt my favorite because i like WOMEN đ but i dont hate the ship. i hate how people can be abOUT the ship!
and ik it seems backwards for me to post this if im scared of drama, but despite that, i still thing we should allow people to have opinions, as long as they are not being needlessly cruel or like "this ship is stupid and will never be canon" (which is stupid to say in a VT context) they we should let people have opinions and NOT blame someone who had a terrible vaguely similar take 9-10 years ago.

I keep thinking about how insane the events of DMC5 must have been from Nero's perspective. He does NOT have the same context that we, the players/viewers, have.
Like-
One random day, Nero's arm gets ripped off by a stranger. A couple of days later, a (different) shady guy breaks into his house. A few hours later, he witnesses Dante get beaten up by a demon. Who also beats him up afterward. Dante goes back for a second round and gets beaten again, but he might be dead this time?? That makes the fact that one of his final words to Nero was âdeadweightâ so much better.Â
The shady guy, whose name is a letter, now conveniently shares that demon is the new demon king, Urizen.
Also, the worldâs going to end in a month.
So, Nero leaves, then returns later to fight demons. A lot of them. He finds Urizen and fights him a second time. Once again, he gets beaten up.
Oh wait, Dante's alive. And heâs (somehow?) gotten more powerful.Â
Then...he's gone. Well, it's time for Nero to catch up to him and prove himself just as capable. He also rescues V, whoâs dying. V randomly starts pouring his heart out and reveals that Urizen is Dante's twin brother. They reach Dante and his almost-dead brother. V stabs Urizen, and BOOM, theyâre now⌠one man??
Who's also his dad.
Within minutes, Nero gained two living family members. And they're going to kill each other.
What a day to be alive.Â
(Also, if you couldnât tell at this point, this post isn't supposed to be serious. I took out some stuff and over-exaggerated other things to highlight the absurdity of this story from the perspective of someone who does not have the full context of V(ergil) and Danteâs stories.Â

Spooker and Colon is so sad because it's genuinely such a fun relationship but whenever I think about them I think of that scene of Colon (*cough Isaac cough*) being homophobic to Spooker during the Elevator Source section of the 5 year anniversary livestream
yeaaah but also colon (isaac) was the one who made it super gay in the first place so ig the homophobia went over my head ahjdje
there are some jealous boyfriend traits rhat colon has in source i like to look at more than that, only if i pretend they had set up healthy boundaries later and stuff
but atp theres no point to acknowledge or keep the homophobic stuff that brothers did. because thats always been them and not the character to me. and if we do leave that in like half the characters would be unlikeable poorly written assholes đ
anyways jordan is a closeted gay man and isaac is a closeted trans woman who may or may not know it yet so it cancels out the homophobic lore
CRYING. When I tell you Iâve had (/hj) a conspiracy that j*rdan is gay for forever. Because EVERY. SINGLE. Gay thing that Ghost does is actually J*RDAN. Calling Toast ruggedly handsome. Mentioning Toastâs stubble CONSTANTLY. Some of it is intentional as a homophobic joke BUT NOT ALL OF IT. IT GETS TO A POINT.
