Did answer this before, but honestly Friend is a bit of a blind spot for me, in that I don't have really any solid ideas of what they're doing here or what they're going to do in the future. Maybe there was some involvement in Dess's disappearance, although I think it's more relevant to Noelle, considering the connection it has with Cat Petterz. I don't really want a boss fight against it or for it to actually be the primary antagonist all along, because it's not even clear what relationship it has with the main cast now, and we're halfway through the game.
