Okay so I finally watched interactive introverts in its entire glory (thanks to amelia lizardsmp3) and I have Thoughts. Specifically about the ending. This was meant to be their goodbye. And people knew that. Even as a casual watcher at the time, I felt the ripple it sent through the community. And we also know that it was mostly dan who wanted everything to end. And if you tend to overanalyze things (as i do), I think you can see that in the way they say their final goodbyes of what was supposed to be their goodbye show. They are both waving, but Phil? Phil is clinging onto that waving, that saying goodbye, he crouches down when the curtain falls to be able to wave longer. He doesn't want it to end, but he knows it has to, if he wants to keep Dan. He made a choice and he's made peace with it but for now he is clinging to the audience he know he will have to leave. And it just. Idk man. I know we (rightfully) talk a lot about how terrible it all was for Dan but what a sacrifice from Phil. He basically gave up his dream job to protect the person he loves, and it breaks my heart.
