PHANDOM LITTLE POP

sign ups for the phandom little pop round 4 are now open!

just when you thought the little pop was dead, we’re following jesus’ example and have come back from grave just in time for spring!

once again, you have the opportunity to become a part of the laziest creative writing/artistic event this phandom regularly produces. in the spirit of a low-key Big Bang, drabblers, doodlers, and betas will come together now to create something great. or pretty good. or kinda meh. but definitely something which we will post throughout the month of april in a series of little pops :D

please read all the sign up info carefully, as this system is different from the big bang system you’re probably used to. if you have questions, read our faq or send us an ask

timeline:

sign ups: feb 1 - feb 22

team assignments: feb 24

designated drabble writing time: feb 25 - march 25

drabble deadline: march 25

designated beta/doodle week*: march 25-31

posting: april 1-30

*doodlers and betas are definitely allowed and encouraged to work on the drabble all throughout the event, but we’re specifically setting aside the last week of march for betas and doodlers to make sure that they have time to work their magic.

please note:

you are NOT required to have teammates already in order to sign up. everyone is welcome to sign up individually and be assigned teammates later

if you are already a member of a team, we only require the drabbler to fill out the form

doodlers/betas who are already on a team with a drabbler do not need to fill out the doodler/beta form UNLESS you’d like to be assigned additional fics to work on

the phandom little pop is back for round 4!!

quick lil summary of what we’re about:

the phandom little pop (or plp) is a collaborative writing event designed to be like a mini, low stress version of a big bang. in the same way that a big bang team consists of a writer, artist, and beta, a little pop team will consist of a drabbler, doodler, and beta. these three people will then work together to create a small, illustrated story (LESS than 1000 words) which they will then share with the world in a series of little pops throughout the month of april. (for more info, please see our faq)

sign ups will open on february 1st!

rather than having everyone sign up individually and anonymously choose their teams later, we ARE allowing (and encouraging) teams to sign up together.

to be clear, finding a team ahead of time is NOT required - we do have a system for pairing individual sign ups - but if you and your friends would like to sign up together, you may.

thinking of joining? awesome! here’s what to do from now until april 1st:

if you’re planning on writing a drabble:

start thinking of your basic idea for the plot. when you sign up, you must have a 20 word or less summary ready. it can be something as simple as ‘dan and phil go to the circus’ or ‘something fluffy involving dan phil and a cat’

try to get a team together of a doodler and a beta. if you are missing one or more, you can try to find them on our matchmaker blog, or wait until sign ups to be provided the rest of your team

if you’re planning on doodling/betaing:

either find a team now or wait until sign ups to be assigned one.

@phandomlittlepop was so good that I made 2 fics! @tiredofbeingnice123 was my glamorous beta and Phil’s POV The day was about to end and it was kind of exhausting to be honest. We went for a morning walk,filmed, edited and bought some stuff we needed for a tag.

The sunset was beautiful, and there were beautiful blue birds with baby birds on their nest. I was cuddling with Dan on bed as he wanted to nap. He probably was really tired since he was up all night editing his danisnotonfire video and we had to wake up really early for the morning walk.

I took my phone from the bedside table to see that it was almost 7 pm. I checked Twitter and Dan began to stir.

“Hey sleepyhead” I said with a grin. “Morning” He mumbled after a big yawn. “Still tired huh?” “ Yeah I went to bed kinda late” he mumbled with his eyes closed. “Wanna have a lazy noon?” “But it’s Wendnesday. Just let me sleep a few more minutes and I’ll be fine” “It’ll be fine Dan. Come on, we deserve it” “But only if we watch Disney movies” “We’ll have a Disney movie marathon. Now, I’ll make you dinner, bring your sexy butt and your duvet to the lounge” “Okay” He said with a chuckle.

I got up from bed and went to the kitchen to make some pancakes. I know, only weirdos like me make pancakes for dinner but who cares?

I decided to make a Mickey Mouse shaped pancake tower with some chocolate chips on them.

A few minutes later, I noticed a sleepy Dan walking into the kitchen, he had curly hair and his duvet wrapped around him.

“Bed’s so cold without you” he said as he grabbed a mug from the cabinet. “I know” I chuckled. “Mmmm it smells so good in here” “I made pancakes ” “Oh my god Phil they have Mickey shape?! My Lion knows how to cook!!!” Dan said with a grin as I handed him our plates. “Shut up and put them on the lounge” I said as I blushed.

Dan’s POV I went to the lounge and placed the plates on the table of the lounge, then I sat down on the couch, yawning loudly. Last night I went to sleep really late at night, and even though it was about 6 pm, I was still exhausted.

Phil came to the lounge and began eating. We decided to watch The Lion King, as it was one of Phil’s favorites. I ate slowly, still tired.

After we finished eating, the movie finished, so we placed Aladdin,101 Dalmatians, and I tried to stay awake since I had a nap a while before and I didn’t want to mess up my sleeping schedule. I was really tired, but I missed spending time with Phil since we were so busy recently.

I kind of fell asleep at some point since I woke up to a crash noice, causing me to jump a little, but it was my phone that fell off from my hand.

“Dan, wanna go to bed?” “Not yet” I said as I snuggled closer to Phil.

Phil’s POV After watching Big Hero 6 and Pooh we decided to watch last but not least Fantasia.

The music was so good, but the end was always my favorite. It was just an eight minutes song but was calm, with no loud noises trough it. Just the sweet and quiet sound of violins.

I turned to see Dan struggling to stay awake, his eyes closing constantly.

“Do you want to go to bed? You look really tired pie” “Mm, maybe in a few minutes…I….I wanna spend time with you and and… the movies…..cool"he slurred. “We have tomorrow for that” “Shh…music’s good"he said with his eyes closed.

I tried to keep quiet and focus until the song finished but a few minutes later, Dan was fast asleep on my shoulder, his mouth a bit open and the blanket covering most of his neck.

I decided to take a selfie with Dan fast asleep on my shoulder since I had a few of those.

After watching a bit of Frozen, I found my own eyelids starting to droop, and I knew that it was going to be a bit uncomfortable to sleep on the couch, so I reached down and poked him a few times.

"Hey Bear” I whispered. Dan stirred and raised his head. “Mmmm I’m sleepy” “I know boo, but we have to get your teeth brushed and change into pjs. "Mm okay”

We both went to the bathroom and began to brush our teeth. After that, I saw Dan collapse on the bed.

“Dan come on, you have to change clothes” “Mm later” he said with his eyes closed. After I noticed that Dan was barely awake, I knew I just had two options. Number one was to wake him up and make him change or number two, to change his clothes while he’s asleep.

I didn’t want to wake him up anymore because I already woke him up once. So, I got out his clothes from the drawer and took off his shirt first.

At the exact moment that I was taking off the shirt, he sleep talked.

“That tickles Pooh Bear!” He said before laughing.

I just wanted to aww so bad, he is always adorable when he is asleep.

When I finished changing his clothes I changed mine and wrapped myself under the duvet as well.

It’s so vivid when his eyes are closed. The sand trails between his fingers, the breeze catching it before it touches the ground. The ocean whispering as it crashes to the shore. The warm heat of the sun caressing his skin as the water nips at his toes.

I look over to Dan and roll my eyes, seeing him finish up his fifth beer. He was talking to some people I didn’t know, and I sat across the room watching everything he did. I didn’t feel very social tonight and watching Dan was my source of entertainment.
