imagine telling your 2014 self that by 2018, dan will have fully embraced his curly hair, he wears a little silver hoop earring in the gay ear, he wears glitter jackets, he has painted his nails on multiple occasions, he makes gay jokes and talks about finding men hot on the regular, he talks openly about his mental health and is an ambassador to an organization dedicated to helping mental health, he has done multiple events with the prince of england, and he’s in a good place. phil has embraced his quiff finally, he has finally started to drop the innocent branding and lets himself make inappropriate jokes bc he’s a 31 year old man and he’s allowed to if he wants, he won an award for best British Creator, and he is more confident in himself than ever. together they are more open about their relationship than ever, barely hiding behind a lie anymore, just letting themselves exist as themselves, they flirt with each other in every video, they never leave each other’s side, they go on family holidays together, they go on double dates together, dan joins the lesters for christmas, they talk about getting a dog and a house together in the future, dan can make a joke implying that he has sex with phil regularly and we are so used to them not caring anymore that it’s basically old news by the next week, they are happy and in love and they know that we know and they are fine with it. they have grown so much in the past couple of years and i never could’ve imagined that we would get here when i first got into them and i cant wait to see how they grow from here on out
