I Heart Uranus

I have a dog named Uranus.

Uranus is muddy.

"I Heart Uranus" is about a boy, Brian, and his beloved dog named Uranus.  People snicker at the boy when he tries to tell them about his dog.  He is a good dog.  Uranus loves to cuddle and give wet kisses.  He can be naughty like when Uranus eats underwear or hogs the bed at night.  Brian knows he likes to do doggie stuff too like when Uranus hangs out the car window.

The next door neighbor, Mr. Cranky often yells at the boy and Uranus.  The boy is patient and kind.  Brian assures Mr. Cranky that Uranus is sweet and the boy always cleans-up after Uranus.  Mr. Cranky is never pacified by Brian's nice explanations.

Brian's mother, Betty makes sure that the boy is a responsible pet owner.  Uranus gets dirty in many ways so Brian makes sure to wash Uranus.  Brian makes sure feed Uranus and gives him dog treats for tricks or good behavior.  Uranus begs for bad people food that makes him gassy. 

"I Heart Uranus" is an illustrated story that captures the joys and challenges for a boy, Brian, with his pet dog, Uranus.
