"Boring," Tony declares. He eyes the sub, it looks great, but doesn't comment on it. "Does your suit need any upgrades?" He asks first, to check in.

“Yeah my webshooters got fucked-sorry messed up on patrol last night. They seized mid swing and I slammed into the side of a building…not fun by the way” he rambles as he presses the sub down flat. It was the only way he was able to eat them.

Tony chuckles as he self-censors his swearing, absently amused by it. "Trust me, I know the feeling. Grab them out, we'll see what we're working with."

He nods and fumbles with his sandwich, trying to keep holding it whilst pulling his broken web shooters out of his stuffed full backpack, "It's terrible, I thought I broke a rib...I don't think I did"

Tony eyes the shooters, and his gaze snaps to Peter when he admits to a possible broken rib. "Did you damage one?" He asks quickly. "even a strained one can be serious, kid."

He shrugs, “I don’t know, I dont really have an xray machine…and I may have disabled Karen’s health scanners so you couldn’t bench me” He mumbles the last part out

Tony's eyes narrow. "First of all, why on earth are you tinkering with the million dollar suit I gave you?" He accuses, no real anger in the tone. "Second, why didn't you just come here?"

“Because I didn’t want you to bench me or track my shit!” He snaps, “I didn’t want to come here because it would just heal”

are you at the tower?? can I stop by??

"Patrol" He lies

"Don't lie to me" Tony kept looking at the bruises, concerned

He looks away, shaking his hands out nervously, "It's nothing"

"Peter... please tell me" He let go of Peter's face and held his hands instead

"It was just someone at school" he mutters

His expression darkened "Another bully."

He moves away, trying to play it off, "Eh it's no big deal, I heal quickly"

"Still, you're hurt." He grabbed an ice pack and pressed it to the bruise on Peter's jaw

He flinched at the motion but allowed the ice pack to be pressed onto his bruise

"You have to stand up for yourself, Peter"

"it's better me than someone else Mr Stark"

"Still, you shouldn't be letting yourself get beat up"

He shrugs, setting down his school bag as he leans into the mans gentle touch

He kept pressing the ice pack to different bruises on Peter's face "They got you good..."

"It was flash and his friends again" He mutters, "They jumped me after school I dunno why"

Tony glared "Ugh, I hate when people jump others. I swear, if I didn't have an image to maintain, I'd beat those little punks up myself."

"I wouldn't let you do that" He states

"I'm not going to, Peter"

He nods and moves to the kitchen, intending on forcing the man to make him a snack

Tony smiled "What do you want for a snack?"

He shrugs, sitting on the stool, he hated picking out food, it made him overwhelmed

Tony nodded and made Peter some cinnamon pancakes

He kicks his feet back and forth as he waits, rambling about his day at school. For a second it felt so familial that it hurt Peter to know he’d have to go back to that stupid group home in a few hours

Tony smiled and nodded "So, I'm planning on adopting. Hypothetically, how would you feel if you were adopted?"

“Um what” he stops moving all together, something that was strange for him

"Hypothetically, how would you feel if I wanted to adopt you?"

“Sorry no I heard you but I just-okay what the fuck”

"What? You hate the group home, everyone picks on you, and you like technology."

“Okay yeah but that doesn’t mean you commit to being a parent…not to someone like me”

"Peter, I see you as my son."

He rests his head on the counter, his cheek pressed against the cool granite, "I just-I don't wanna burden you with my issues"

"I've got issues too, Peter."

"Not like mine" He snaps before looking down, "Sorry that was rude"

"Nah, I get it. Narcissism isn't the same as your issues"

You have-you’re a narcissist?

"Well, yeah. I mean I don't have the disorder, my therapist says it's a coping mechanism"

“Oh, but that means it can be fixed…autism can’t be fixed”

"Well, I've got that in some capacity, why else would I have made my empire on technology?"

“You’re autistic?”

"High on the spectrum, but yeah"

“Oh…I’m like…I don’t know where I am but I need some supports and shit apparently…not like I get them”

"What supports do you need?" He handed Peter the pancakes and got out a notepad and a pen

“I need help with food…you already know that. My senses are all weird…and sometimes I go nonverbal.”

He nodded and wrote that down, cutting Peter's pancakes into little triangles

He watches, he liked when things were cut like that, "Oh and uhhh sometimes I struggle in social settings, like grocery stores and shit make me overwhelmed..."

"And that's ok. Anything else I should know?"

"Ummmm no I don't think so-wait yes, the cold is weird...but that's a spider thing not an autism thing"

"I can put the thermostat at 70 if you'd like"

He shrugs, "I don't mind now, winter just makes me tired"

"I can add heating wires to your suit"

"Oh yes please that would be amazing!!!" he says as he reaches for the pancakes

He smiled and let Peter have the pancakes, ruffling his hair

he ate the quickly

"Slow down; take your time to enjoy them"

He forces himself to slow down

He smiled softly, gently stroking Peter's hair

He leans into the touch like a cat

He smiled at that

Peter finishes his meal and puts his plate in the dishwasher

He started the dishwasher, and looked at Peter "How do you communicate when you go non verbal?"

"Ummmm most times I write or use text to speech" HE explains as he pulls out his cracked phone and demonstrates

Tony nodded "I can teach you sign language if you want"

“You know sign?!”
