She locked herself in her room constantly, still not used to being out of a cell, still thinking she needs permission to, refusing to talk to anyone. The team understands that hydra habits are hard to break out of but this? This is fear, distrust, probably a trauma response.
For the first time in a week Emilia left her room, but not in the way you would think. She snuck up to the roof without anyone seeing, just watching the night sky, just thinking, processing. None of this makes sense, she doesn't trust their kindness. She's not used to it.

Emilia flinched slightly when she finally saw Tony. She wasn’t expecting anyone to be up there with her
"It's ok, I won't be up here long, just checking on you, Emilia" He smiled gently.
She eases up, nodding slightly “ok… yeah I’m ok, thanks” she says shyly
"Just still adjusting, kiddo?" He smiled softly, and gently put a hand on her back
She nods softly, tensing a bit at his touch
"Sorry" He moved his hand away from her back
“It’s ok” she whispers “sorry”
"No, don't worry, it's ok. You're just scared" He said gently
“Yeah…” she whispers, looking down at her feet swinging again
He smiled genrly at her, and offered her a sandwich
She glances toward it, then up at Tony, not sure if she should take it
"It's just a sandwich, Emi. It's safe"
She nods softly, hesitantly reaching for it and taking a small bite
It had some sharp cheddar, turkey, lettuce, and tomato
Emilia glances up at Tony softly, before back down at the sandwich
"Do you like that? Or is the cheddar too sharp?"
“No the… the sandwich is ok, thank you” she gives a small smile at how worried he is about cheese
He smiled a little, gently reaching his hand out
She hesitantly reaches hers out too

The rancid scent of stale garbage and damp concrete filled her nostrils, a stark contrast to the metallic tang of her own blood. Her head throbbed, and every breath sent a searing pain through her ribs. She sat on the floor against the wall amidst overflowing dumpsters and discarded crates in a grimy alleyway, the harsh glow of a distant neon sign painting the scene in sickly greens and purples. Above, the perpetual hum of New York City traffic was a muffled roar.
She tried to push herself up, but a sharp gasp escaped her lips as her arm gave out, sending another wave of agony through her body. What had happened?

"Tony...I think it was just retaliation"

"That is normal..." He gently moved the bone back where it was, wrapped it tightly, then put some ice on it to take her to the hospital
"I don't want to go to the hospital..! They'll get the..uhm..aiguilles! Tony, please..."

Emilia's first week in the tower was fine, just fine. She didn't talk much, barely at all, when she did it was either smart ass comments to make herself seem less like a target or pure fear.
She locked herself in her room constantly, still not used to being out of a cell, still thinking she needs permission to, refusing to talk to anyone. The team understands that hydra habits are hard to break out of but this? This is fear, distrust, probably a trauma response.
For the first time in a week Emilia left her room, but not in the way you would think. She snuck up to the roof without anyone seeing, just watching the night sky, just thinking, processing. None of this makes sense, she doesn't trust their kindness. She's not used to it.
She watches her legs swing off the edge of the building. Finding joy in small things for the first time

Emilia flinched slightly when she finally saw Tony. She wasn’t expecting anyone to be up there with her
"It's ok, I won't be up here long, just checking on you, Emilia" He smiled gently.
She eases up, nodding slightly “ok… yeah I’m ok, thanks” she says shyly
"Just still adjusting, kiddo?" He smiled softly, and gently put a hand on her back
She nods softly, tensing a bit at his touch
"Sorry" He moved his hand away from her back
“It’s ok” she whispers “sorry”
"No, don't worry, it's ok. You're just scared" He said gently
“Yeah…” she whispers, looking down at her feet swinging again
He smiled genrly at her, and offered her a sandwich
She glances toward it, then up at Tony, not sure if she should take it
"It's just a sandwich, Emi. It's safe"
OPEN STARTER - INJURED LYRA
The rancid scent of stale garbage and damp concrete filled her nostrils, a stark contrast to the metallic tang of her own blood. Her head throbbed, and every breath sent a searing pain through her ribs. She sat on the floor against the wall amidst overflowing dumpsters and discarded crates in a grimy alleyway, the harsh glow of a distant neon sign painting the scene in sickly greens and purples. Above, the perpetual hum of New York City traffic was a muffled roar.
She tried to push herself up, but a sharp gasp escaped her lips as her arm gave out, sending another wave of agony through her body. What had happened?

She tried to move again but she cries out in pain causing her to grip onto her side

"Tony...I think it was just retaliation"
"You can never be too careful"

"No...but that's normal, right? For a broken arm?"
