[Laughs and stands up] You would be a fool to.

[Rolls his eyes] You are so weird. [Bends to kiss her]

[Laughs, wrapping her arms around his neck] As if you didn't know.

Sort of like you. [Wrinkles his nose, kissing her forehead] Let’s pretend I didn’t say that.

Oh no, you totally said that. [Pretends to faint in his arms, putting on a fake southern accent] I just can't, I cannot believe it. Mistah Delsario said I was perfect. Mama, I could die happy.

[Nods] Sounds like a good plan. [Finishes hanging the lights, wiping his hands dramatically] Now what?

[Wraps her arms around his waist] It's perfect.

[Shrugs] Could be.  [Flashes a grin and continues to hang the lights] Where’s Kitty?

[Hits his arm] I think she's spending time with Noah. I'll see her tomorrow though, Christmas Eve is reserved for the two of us.

I tend to believe you underestimate your abilities. [Strokes her cheek gently]

[Laughs, shaking her head] Or you overestimate them, hm?

Oh I doubt that.

[Waves her hand] I told you I'm not good with lights. [Stands up on her toes and kisses him]

Got it. [Winks and takes the lights, pausing to kiss her cheek. He then starts to wrap the lights carefully around the tree] Looking alright so far?

[Bounces on her toes, watching him as he wraps the lights] It's looking more than alright. Certainly better than anything I could have done.

Would you like some assistance? Been a while since I’ve decorated a tree, but it’s worth a shot.

[Smiles brightly] I would love some! [Hands him a pile of lights] I'm not exactly savvy when it comes to these.

How are you?

I'm good. I'm just trying to finish decorating the tree. I know, a little late, but I got distracted and never finished.

Good, I’m glad to hear it. And how’s Kitty? Still joined to your hip?

She's doing better and it's more like at arm's length now.

I’ll allow you to be conceited, just this once. Only alright? That’s not what I like to hear.

[Waves her hand] Oh no, don't read too much into it. It's just been a bit of a lazy day.

Of course. I'm doing alright, not too bad.
