Its your parents responsibility to keep in contact with their children NOT the other way around.
A call every now and again to them is nice, obviously, but I should be allowed to live my life independently without worrying about whether I called mum and dad to say hi. This goes for grandparents too, like they're retired and most of them don't do much else, they can set time aside to keep in contact with their grandchildren.
I dont understand where it came from, that its the child's responsibility to look after the parent after a certain age, its sounds selfish but like 2020 is all self love and shit i just feel like i want this out there, why do I have to spend my life looking after my parents when they brought me into this world and I should continue to be their responsibility (to a point, im just talking about spending time, keeping in contact and general conversations) until they die.
I also understand some kids havn't been a choice for the parent, but otherwise most are.
