thinking about how far reaching olruggio's magic is
Something so queer about the way Qifrey and Olly talk about lying. The way Qifrey wants to be honest and true more than anything but he has to lie to survive. The way that Olly gives him permission to do just that along with the hope that one day he won’t have to. The way he recognizes from jump that when you’re in imminent danger you often don’t have any choice but to lie and that honesty is a privilege of the safe. The way Olly has tried to make himself into that safe haven for Qifrey. Idk that shit is kinda gay.

wanted to have a more anime-only-friendly print available at the con i'm tabling at this weekend so i cooked this up over three days of nonstop work and not enough sleep. i'm not 100% pleased with how it came out but sometimes a piece is done because you just can't look at it anymore. inspo for this was the vol3 ch15 title illustration with the girls all napping with a bunch of pillows
