Growing up is also understanding that most of the time in real life there are not villians, there are not enterely evil characters with bad intentions whose only purpose is to hurt you. Real life is more of... just people who make mistakes and are not able to calculate all the unintended consequences of their actions and words. Growing up as a person is accepting the fact that you are one of those people, you have also hurt somebody, you have made mistakes and you are not always the victim, plenty of times you are the 'villian'. Now, taking responsability of your actions is not saying that it is your fault while 'suffering' all the martyrdom that comes with it. Taking actual responsability is realizing that you are not the victim of situation, and things not just happen to you, but you also make them happen; your relationship didn't work? Ask yourself why buddy, both parts are to be blamed, accept your part on it and be mature enough to move on and learn from it.
