Dragons were warm, Shadow Milk noticed.
Above him were violet scales coated on top of a dragon of darkness, pairing with baby pink eyes that stared back at him; the cookie who wielded shadows, a wrath no one could avoid. Except them. After all, not only were they incredibly close - both figuratively and literally - they specialised in shadows too. Darkness was their thing, as yet again they were the dragon of darkness.
A huff escaped them, and then a smile as they nestled further into the crook of his neck. Their tail raised up and curled over into a hook adjacent shape, smile only growing as they continued to get more comfortable. As if they weren’t already.
Shadow Milk was cold, very cold, like a carton of milk that had just been taken out of the fridge. They liked that. They liked the contrast. They were already very warm anyway, having a naturally higher body temperature than cookiekind.
Then, a rumbling escaped their throat. Erupting from their newly vibrating body, and Shadow Milk immediately noticed. He was shocked at first, only to remember that - yes, dragons can purr. It shocked him the first couple of times, but after centuries of cuddling and snuggling with this big lizard he was bound to get used to it.
So, he merely pulled them in closer, arms protectively wrapping around the other and embracing them further, “Glad to hear you’re enjoying it.” He teased.
The dragon hissed, yet made no move to get away from him; only getting closer. “Shut. Up.” They growled, yet no real malice was behind those words. They were all bark yet no bite. He didn’t hold back a chuckle this time, laughing for a moment or two before finally letting out one last breath and smiling.
Dragons were warm, Shadow Milk reminded himself, and not just in temperature, but personality too. Or maybe he was just special.

Heeeeeey, I've already done a sort of rewrite of the Cookie Wars story, better known as the official infection story of the franchise, but it was canceled. But an idea about a Cookie Run infection has been floating around in my head, revolving around a plague caused by Mystic Flour Cookie, so let's see...
The Blinding Affliction
It all starts after the Second Dark Flour War, that is, the events of chapter 15 of Beast Yeast. Of course, Sugar Swan didn't appear here. The beasts survived and divided. White Lily is also alive, since she fused with Dark Enchantress, becoming one again, though she gained a scar. But the important thing is that just a week later, a fog began to descend upon the land, from Beast Yeast to Crispia. Upon entering the fog, breathing became more difficult than usual, and there were even reports of cookies seeing things that weren't happening or didn't actually exist. It was too late when they realized that this new disease was airborne. The first infected were dogs and wolves, then forest animals, until it reached the towns and kingdoms. The only explanation for this was Mystic Flour Cookie, who had been missing since the war, but reappeared, only to reveal herself as infected by her own affliction, including her loyal henchman, Cloud Haetae Cookie.
Expresso Cookie shows us how one becomes infected. One can be infected through the air, especially upon entering or being near the fog, but a face mask is usually enough to prevent it. Or one can be infected by the bite of an infected person, which is almost identical to a spider bite.
First, the patient begins to become forgetful, initially forgetting that they were bitten, then forgetting simple things like where the bite came from. Otherwise, they remain the same. Next, the patient develops an unknown fever and becomes irritable for no apparent reason. A change in their teeth begins to appear, as if they were growing fangs. Then, the patient becomes extremely tired, loses all appetite, begins to malnourish, and coughs up flour, as if suffering from depression. The final stage varies, but they often become zombie-like, and a "mist" of flour emanates from their mouths.
Why does the final stage vary? Well, some infected individuals grow spider legs from their backs, others develop wolf claws and tails, but the worst are those who resemble statues, considered to have fully embraced the light of apathy. They are invulnerable to practically anything. It's best to avoid them or have a spell that can repel them. Furthermore, it can take days to become one of them.
Even the beasts are searching for Mystic Flour to confront her, as they don't appreciate what she's doing, even though Burning Spice is already starting to be affected by her. And the end.

Pero una idea sobre una infeccion de cookie run ha estado rondando por mi cabeza, y que gire en torno a una plaga provocada por Mystic Flour Cookie, pues vamos a verlo...
La Aflicción Cegadora
Todo empieza tras la Segunda Guerra de Harina Oscura, osea, los hechos del capítulo 15 de Beast Yeast, claro que aquí, no apareció Sugar Swan, las bestias sobrevivieron y se dividieron, White Lily también está viva ya que aquí se fusionó con Dark Enchantress, volviendo a ser una, aunque obteniendo una cicatriz.
Pero lo importante es que tan solo una semana después, una niebla empezó a asolar, desde Beast Yeast hasta Crispia, al uno entrar en la niebla le cuesta respirar más de lo normal y hasta hay reportes de que las galletas ven cosas que no pasan o no existen en realidad, fue tarde cuando se fueron cuenta que está nueva enfermedad se transmite por el aire. Los primeros infectados fueron los perros y lobos, luego los animales de bosques, hasta llegar a los pueblos y reinos. La única explicación de esto, era Mystic Flour Cookie, que estuvo desaparecida desde la guerra, pero volvió a aparecer, solo para mostrarse como una infectada por su propia aflicción, incluyendo su fiel secuaz, Cloud Haetae Cookie.
Expresso Cookie nos presenta como uno se vuelve un infectado, uno se puede contagiar por el aire especialmente al entrar o estar cerca de la niebla, pero con un tapabocas suele ser suficiente para evitarlo, o puede ser infectado por la mordida de un infectado, el cual es casi igual a la mordida de una araña.
Primero el paciente empieza a ser olvidadizo, primero olvidando que le mordieron, para después olvidar cosas tan simples como por donde venían, pero del resto, sigue igual, luego el paciente sufre de una fiebre desconocida y está irritable sin razón alguna aparente, pero se empieza a notar un cambio en los dientes, como si fueran colmillos, entonces el paciente se empieza a cansar de forma extrema, no quiere nada, empezando a desnutrirse y toser harina, como si sufriera depresión, al final varía pero suele volverse como zombies y de su boca directamente sale una "niebla" de harina.
¿Porque la fase final varía? Pues algunos infectados crecen de su espalda unas patas de araña, otros, les crecen garras y colas de lobo, pero los peores son aquellos que parecen estatuas, considerados como los que aceptaron por completo la luz de la apatía, siendo invulnerables a prácticamente cualquier cosa, es mejor evitarlos o tener un hechizo que los empuje a otro lado. Además de que puede tomar días convertirse en uno de ellos.
Incluso las bestias están buscando a Mystic Flour para enfrentarse a ella, pues no les hace gracia lo que este haciendo, aunque Burning Spice ya este empezando a ser afectado por ella. Y fin.
I imagine that Longan produces so much magic that they cannot die, and as long as their gem breaks, they will always reform (as long as they are well fed, that is)
Obviously this causes problems, like memory lost, it's so minor they don't care, well, they might forget their family one day...
Too much magic also means when they can't suppress it (example, strong emotions), it causes their body to start melting from being overwhelmed
Even if their physical body is worn out, the magic keeps them alive and breathing
I headcanon WoER is missing parts of their arms, a lot of skin and their entire lower body, while having a fractured skull (which is why their design looks so, protective?), so in this scenario, while their body is rotting, the magic keeps them living, they're not really putting any effort to heal themselves anyway (doesn't eat = no materials to rebuild body, they barely ate anything before the War)
Since we're on about WoER, they definitely have their own bones (dragon form ones) scattered around their once-was-now-in-ruins palace
They're called Warlord of the Deceased the Korean, which is fascinating and really true as Eternal Rest kinda just means death
They literally DIED and came back, and I guess "of the Deceased" means the corpse they kept in their palace (once again goes with one of my other headcanon wwoaw)
Hot take, if you think Devsisters is being stupid with their art direction and story direction,
You don't have to take it!
Devsisters ARE stupid, just, ignore it, pick the favorite parts of the lore and connected them together to make you own universe
I think what They're doing with dragons and the TBD is really dumb, so, I just pretend they don't exist and focus on the world I think flows better
And when you think about it, considering how the games are basically in different universes anyways, your AU is TECHNICALLY canon in it's own way !
