Just finished A Courst of Silver Flames and needed this scene so he is Rhys and Feyre telling Mor...Spoilers obviously stop reading now to avoid them...
EDIT: just realised the first paragraph didn't copy past properly sorry fixed that
Mor landed on the front law of the River House. She could have just winnowed inside given that Rhys had magicked the houses wards to recognise her but the way he and Feyre had been all over each other lately...well she could go one thousand Fae lifetimes without seeing her cousins ass again. A rosy scent drifted toward her as she opened the front door loudly to allow anyone a chance to hear her and she wondered what delight Elaine may have planted in the garden to produce such a scent. Sweet innocent somehow
Rhys appeared at the top of the stairs having heard his cousins entrance and smiled widely at her a wicked gleam in his eye letting Mor know that he was up to something.
"Hello cousin." He smiled, practically bouncing toward her down the stairs Feyre's scent thick upon him and probably the reason for his jubilance.
Mor simple rolled her eyes and made for the sitting room expecting her cousin to follow do she could deliver her report. He complied following her closely. The rosy scent became stronger as Mor took a seat on a high backed chair. The scent was so familiar yet she couldn't quite place it. Rhys tilted his head, smiling as Mor breathed deep trying to place the scent.
Elaine's voice filled the hall outside the sitting room mixing with Feyre's as the moves from the kitchen. The scent became more powerful still as Mor listened to Feyre bid her sister farewell called to the briefing though she and Rhysand's mind link.
She stilled, all movement vanishing from her as Feyre entered the room bringing with her the wonderful scent. Mom's eyes widened, her lips pressed together in an attempt to compose herself. She shifted her eyes from Feyre to Rhys and back again.
"A Babe." She choked out.
Feyre just nodded smiling widely, hand resting protectively across her stomach.
Mor shrieked in pure joy and threw herself at her cousin wrapping her arm around him in an excited hug which he gratefully returned pulling Feyre in to join the love. Mor peppered her friends face with kisses. Excitement heavy in the air.
"Where? How? When?" Mor questioned joy clouding her mind.
Rhys gave his cousin a look and asked "Did you not receive a sexual education Morrigan?"
Mor just shot him a look and looked at Feyre who filled in the details, how far along she was, who knew, that it was a boy and when the babe was expected to arrive. A smile plastered to her face her hand gently upon her stomach. Feyre pushed herself into the seat next to Rhysand settling in for a long talk. Rhys pulled her to him and pressed a kiss to her brow and let Feyre and Mor catch up.
A Babe! The High Lord and Lady of night would have a baby. Mor was to be an aunt. The urgency of the impending war pushed at the back of her mind but for now all that mattered was the tiny fae being growing inside her friend.
