unpopular opinion: oversexualizing newt makes him look like dumb, oblivious bimbo and makes his character incredibly flat and boring.

make. newt. interesting! make him clever, make him observant, make people around him have polarized opinions on him!

if everyone just drools at him and he’s oblivious to it 100% of time, it throws his entire character arc out the window. he’s a scientist. he’s a magizoologist, he’s observant. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO UNCOVER GRINDELWALD WHEN ENTIRE BUILDING OF AURORS COULDN’T, he’s THAT smart which makes him about on par with sherlock holmes with his deduction skills.
