Shortly after Frozen 2 came out but before I saw it, a friend asked me if I thought they had given Elsa a female love interest, as it has been rumored they might. “No,” I said with complete confidence. “If they did, I’d have heard about it.” Then I had to explain that I’ve curated my tumblr experience into a great river of homosexuality, fed by many tributaries, that I watch carefully and seive like a prospector. That by my connection to this deep lesbian current I am brought inklings of gay uprisings even in far distant lands. That I know every gay scene in every show I have never watched. That like a cow in a field — very stupid but with senses more ancient than language and more attuned than those of men — I feel the tremors of approaching gay cultural events long before their vibrations are recorded on any seismograph.
