Try and treat cooking less like an ‘adult thing’ and more like a useful skill, or a project. Like learning to sculpt, or teaching yourself how to take apart and maintenance a WW2 rifle. Something fun to pass the time. 

Read about what you want to cook, print out some instructions, gather your supplies, and have at it.

 Make sure you follow the instructions, and don’t cut corners with ‘logic’ (If you don’t know the difference between baking powder and baking soda, don’t substitute one for the other, regardless of similar names.)
