A minor complaint and a fix: Some people might have noticed or heard that the binding for 5th Edition DnD is really bad. It’s true. Some of my friends books were falling apart after only a few days. It took mine a few weeks to get to the point where it was a major hindrance. This is weird because I have 1st edition ADnD books from 1978 (that’s almost 40 years old) and they are still held together perfectly (despite major use).
So to fix the problem I got out the electric drill and some twine. We will see how it holds up but I think this will grant me an opportunity to paint on it too. We will see.
Eep. Radical, yet effective!
The real fix here is just to have Wizards replace it as defective. There's instructions on their support website, but if you send the request in Wizard's will fully replace any book with a faulty binding free of charge. I did it a few months ago and I bought my book right when they came out. Just have the original receipt and Wizards will send a UPS guy to your door to collect the old book and they will send you a new one pretty quickly free of charge!
