People say “look” and “listen” a lot before bringing up a point, but they never say “smell”, “taste”, or “touch” like what if I want to say “smell, I think there’s a lot of good points here”?

I stretch out my hand for yours. You hesitate, but I don’t abandon you. I bubble in your thoughts, I whisper in your ear until you feel like you can’t hold me down. Something about me is exciting. It’s exhilarating just trying to guess what I’ll do next. I’m not new though. Every time you take a second look, every time you melt into fantasy, I am there. What if I was reality? You don’t have to hide, it’s okay. Ignore the antagonists and embrace me.

Technically speaking the invention of a self driving electric car isn’t very new at all. All the technology needed for crude object detection, speed control, and automatic steering have been around since circa World War I. Vacuum tubes could create simple control electronics, photocells could be used to identify basic obstacles, and even inductors/wireless transmitters placed on the road could stop and start the cars at lights and stop signs. If that’s not crazy then I probably am, though the two aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive.
