listen, I love Sarah Nurse as much as the next Canadian hockey fan and I get that she’s a big face of hockey in this country but her making the Canada Olympic roster when she has played one single game for Vancouver this season because she’s been injured and did not compete in the rivalry series is not okay to me. I don’t care how good you are or how good you have been, Olympic selections should be based on how you’re playing now and she hasn’t been playing at all soooo….the idea that a player can make a team as big and important as this one when they’ve been on long term injury reserve is nuts. The whole “oh she’ll be healthy in time for the Olympics” bugs me because imo players shouldn’t make rosters just because they’ll likely be able to play BY tournament time when plenty of other Canadian players have stepped up this season and performed really well.

From a player safety standpoint taking off the helmet is bad. From a gay perspective,
