This completely ignores how Sulemio beat just as many ships up to this point on its own merits, including some heavy hitters such as Ineffable husbands and Bubbline. I have no doubt there are some Good Omens and Hannibal fans who are voting against Gundam because they lost, and there’s a lot of fandom overlap between those shows and Supernatural. Nevertheless, the Gundam girls are winning regardless.

You somehow can’t accept that Gundam, a franchise that’s been around for decades and is extremely popular internationally, has more fans than Supernatural, a CW show that hasn’t been that relevant in pop culture beyond parts of tumblr for a while. Not to mention that when it comes to the lgbt representation and the relationship itself, one of these pairs actually canonically got married and a happy life at the end of the series, while the other got queerbaited for over a decade and then sent to literal hell. To many the choice seems obvious.
