I've had it for a while in both legs but nowadays it's especially awful- y'know you crack and twist your legs a couple times without breaking them and they feel about ready to fall right off lol

Just this year I was skiing for a gym thing and I fell and tried to get up how we were told to, my left leg slipped out behind me with the skis still on. I got to go to the ER for that one, took an X-ray and nothing was broken. Despite being unable to move my leg without extreme pain I still walked on it because I had stuff to do. My gym teacher made me play badminton and do very intense exercises with my bad leg lol.
To answer your other questions, I would love to have them amputated, particularly mid thigh, maybe a little lower, but definitely above the knee. I don't think I'd get prosthetics but I would definitely consider it. I don't have a specific identity for this I just feel this way and don't have a name for it- I'm sure there's one out there for it.
My school has a couple clubs that allow for community service, we do tie blankets, salvation army, donations and fundraisers of all sorts. It's really fun! I'm currently thinking about helping with the daybreak in my town when my life settles a bit.

I believe that removing my legs would lessen the amount of pain and discomfort I experience that keeps me from doing things, and it would allow me to get healthier and bring me closer to feeling like myself.
I also think that by virtue of feeling better and no longer being in pain I'd feel more confident and be able to achieve my goals easier, (for instance despite how much I like exercising as a thing to do I am very actively held back from doing so because of the pain- I don't particularly like taking pain meds simply because I want to go swimming or walk my pets) I also feel that even with the set backs that happen because of not having legs I would still find plenty of ways to continue working and doing community service as I have been for the past two years.
Not having legs maybe isn't my only option but as a snap decision it seems like a really good one. I acknowledge that it's probably not even close to the best option but it is something I feel like reaching for as relief.
