I feel like the reason burton changed the first movie soooo much was so he could fit a full plot into 2 hours. While I'd really LOVE to see another movie, I feel like the books rely on each other while the movie was a version that could stand alone like "what if Jake's d here". Adding more movies would only deviate further from the original plot I think

this is SUCH a late reply probably and I apologize! BUT to answer your question, I believe they will. and I’m hopeful that they will. A lot of people (the strictly book fandom) didn’t seem to enjoy the movie so much but I loved it and I hope that Tim Burton decides to adapt the other two books as well!

This (and the part Claire spit water from the mouth on her back, honestly that was the best one) were the only parts on the movie that weren’t on the book that I enjoyed. Besides that, I hate the movie and I hate everyone that liked it and I hate everyone that was watching the movie at the same time as me because they didn’t read the books and they liked the movie (I know this because I asked them) @lola9910 you and pepina are out of my hating circle
That is a very wild and strong opinion lol. I respect it though, but I read the first book back in 2013 and loved it and I loved the movie as well, I don't think it's fair to say you hate people who enjoyed the movie just because they alternated it. Many books don't follow the movie ~exactly~ word for word. I thought the movie was wonderful and I know many are going to disagree, but at least be respectful about it.
