After these horrifying news, I’ve decided to do a recap on KyoAni’s main titles from their foundation until now as a homage for its staff, especially the victims and their families. We don’t know where the studio will be going from now, but we do know of its journey until the present moment. There were hits and there were misses, but it overall deserves appreciation now more than ever.

This is going to be a bit long but they deserve it all and more.

Personally, part of me wants to believe that these people will continue living through their creations, but what’s been done to them is unforgivable. We all know that this will definitely affect current and future projects of the studio, but let’s show only support for the survivors until they’re able to get back on track.

@pearlcrysta because vanderwood was never meant to be a main character. his only purpose was to be a side one in seven’s route. plus he has no legitimate connection to the rfa or mint eye so any attempt to put him in for a route would be very forced.

it’s so hard to come up with new plot lines in an already complicated story and still have them make sense. another story was great because cheritz already had an idea for v and unknown routes and didn’t just put together a bunch of bs.

plus cheritz said that they have no plans or ideas for a vanderwood route and tries to steer questions away from it and onto other content.

cheritz also makes other otome games (nameless, dandelion, and their new game the ssum). and they are good games because cheritz had real passion behind those characters and were not just pandering to the fan base. plus it’s selfish to ask them to spend less time on those for a half assed character.

also, it’s really rude of the fandom to ask cheritz for one. cheritz spent a good amount of time and genuine effort to make v and unknown routes just for the fandom to ask for another.

People claimed they were even “talking” directly to cheritz representatives who wrote back that they had no plans to add anything more to the MM story or at least nothing was 100% certain.

Years later, things changed and we got spoiled with a lot more unexpected content for MM.

Agreed they shouldn’t do any content they don’t feel happy about or forced to do half assed stuff just to pander fans, and Vanderwood is to Seven’s route like Sarah is for Jumin’s. He’s a minor char. But I think they have room to add more content into the game.

The world they’d built still has more room to play in.

I don’t think a Vanderwood route-type thing is that much of an issue to implement if they wanted to do it. We got routes where we got to know the ins and outs of the RFA with the main crew. We got more Mint Eye info with V and Ray routes and a different type of MC.

We could get another angle with Seven’s secret agency where Vanderwood can appear in a lot more scenes. Somehow. Maybe a Secret Ending type of angle, with chapters that you need to unlock with hourglass instead of party planning, like the Secret Endings.

Not sure if romance can happen, but wouldn’t completely write off some Vanderwood content if it’s possible XD And definitely don’t think it’s the worst idea ever, that’s why i’ve asked.
