One hundred and five character-building questions, split into three posts.
➡️ Pt. 1 - T.A.S.T.E. - Mostly internally-driven questions.
➡️ Pt. 2 - T.E.S.T. - Mostly externally-driven questions.
➡️ Pt. 3 - ! - Steamy/explicit questions.
or...
✅️ There's an All-In-One post shortened with a Read More! (Explicit Included)
➡️ There's an Almost-All-In-One post shortened with a Read More! (SFW Only)
It's an acronym! And also... each question hopefully provokes a good nibble of OC lore.

[ 🖐️ ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat do their hands feel like: soft, calloused, trembling ?
Pretty much all of them have calloused hand for some reason or another. The band boys have calloused hands from playing their instruments. Phlox's are calloused because of his hobbies, though they're a bit softer that the band boys.
[ ☂️ ]ㅤ.ㅤdo they crave touch or fear it ?
Val and Lex crave it. Koki craves it a little, not like Val and Lex do. Phlox and Hollis are somewhat afraid of it.
[ 🦇 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhat is a fear they never talk about ?
Phlox has a fear of folks that no one knows about, he has a pretty good poker face. The others are fairly open about their fears, except Hollis who doesn't really share his fear of never being loved.
[ 🪞 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhen have they looked at their reflection and hated what they saw ?
Hollis did a lot in his late teens when he was still trying to figure himself out. He had started to sh and began to hate how that looked too, thankfully he has some really good friends who got him help.
Phlox hated how he looked in his late teens too, even when he tried to "fix" it with his ed. Then he hated how he looked then too. Now he's healthier, stronger, but when he is struggling with an OCD flare-up, he can get pretty picky about how he looks.
[ 🐾 ]ㅤ.ㅤdo animals like them instinctively ?
[ 🌊 ]ㅤ.ㅤwhen was the last time they cried ?
Pretty much all the guys cry after a show, except Hollis. He last cried at the first tour show.
Phlox hasn't cried since Aspen passed. He just can't, it won't come.
More of your band and the streamer guy. 10 11 14 20

I actually have voice claims for them! Hollis is the Fox from The Little Prince. Val is Vortex from Helluva Boss. Koki is Keith from Voltron. Lex is Wolfwood from 90s Trigun.

Hmmm.... Hollis would have a wolf tail and ears me thinks. Val would probably have some sort of dove wings. Koki would have a shrimp tail (don't ask why, I dunno). Lex would have a peacock tail. And Phlox would have bag wings.
20. What does your OC's dream partner look like? N/A if they don't want one.
Hollis doesn't really care, as long as they're okay with his sexuality. Val has one! Her name is Odessa. Koki and Lex don't overly care what they look like either, as long as they don't mind they chaos. Phlox's is right here.
10. Regardless of gender, find or describe a dress your OC would wear/would suit them!

☃️
No worries! I'll just link them!
But I wanna use this ask to say, I was very very sick yesterday. Like could barely drive home sick. I'm feeling better today, but I'm still a little icky and shaky feeling, so bare with me.
I also broke my brand new phone... And had to buy a new one... So yeah...
I will get back to writing soon, I promise. Requests are still open, just bare with me while I try to feel better.

1. What is/would be your OC's favourite ice cream flavour?
Hollis would love a dark chocolate or maybe a brownie ice cream. Val would love a coffee or matcha flavor. Koki would like anything fruity, leaning more towards strawberry, mango, or peach. Lex would love birthday cake. Phlox likes plain flavors, vanilla, regular chocolate, as long as there's not chunks.
3. What would your OC name a child if they had to?
Brooke for a girl, Locke for a boy.
Odette for a girl, Demetri for a boy.
Aiko for a girl, Sousei for a boy.
Harlow for a girl, Greyson for a boy.
Sage for a girl, Jasper for a boy. (Jasper is one of the names of our sons in Tomodachi Life...)
5. What does your OC wear to bed?
Hollis, Val, Koki, Lex, and Phlox
6. On a scale of 1 to 10, how good is your OC at singing?
Hollis is probably a 10, Koki and Val are 8s. Lex is a 1. Phlox... 7-8.
8. What's your OC's favorite color? & 13. What does/would your OC's handwriting look like?
Their handwriting is on their favorite color.
12. What does your OC's laugh sound like?
Hollis has a very quiet laugh, especially in public. It's airy and soft, very hard to hear. But if you really get him going, it's a bit louder, but still airy.
Val's is like a bark.
Koki's is high, loud, and giggly.
Lex's is kinda wheezy, kinda weird...
Phlox is more of a chuckle than anything. It's deep, slightly airy, but not as much as Hollis. It kinda gives a condescending vibe, though that's not his intent.
Since you've answered a lot for a bunch of em 9 10 12 16 17 19 35
9. Have they ever lived far apart?
Yes, Koki's siblings move pretty far, one in California, one to the UK. All of Lex's siblings move fairly far, a few stayed close (maybe 2 hours away), some moved even farther. All of Val's siblings stayed close, especially since Xanthe is still in school. Phlox is the one who moved away, Silas stayed in NY, Phlox moved to Montana.
10. How did distance affect their relationship?
They rarely see each other, but when Suzuka visits (pretty often), Koki goes to lunch with her. It's made his relationship with Ryota nonexistent since he lives across the sea.
It was nonexistent already, so much didn't change for Lex.
Val misses Xanthe when she goes back to school, but he school isn't that far... so Hollis often goes up see her.
Nothing really changed since Silas didn't stop contact. Phlox gets constant messages from his brother, even if they're just silly videos. Silas understands why he left and knows Phlox loves the quiet, but he also know that Phlox likes hearing from him.
12. Who makes the effort to stay in touch?
Koki, none, Hollis and Xanthe, Silas.
16. Did parents favor one sibling? Is this real or just a perception?
Ryota, absolutely. It was very very real, even Suzuka called their parents out on it.
Sylvan. It was abundantly clear to everyone, even when Lex was growing up and Sylvan was out of the house.
Xanthe at the moment. Val's family tends to "favor" the one that needs them. With Xanthe in college, she needs them the most ?.
Silas, but this is just what Phlox believes. Mostly because he thinks his parents are appearing him more freedom than they do him, that Lingyun is kinder, more lenient with Silas.
17. Did that favoritism cause lasting damage?
Yes, Koki feels looked over.
Lex feels unwanted, invisible.
Nope, Val was favored at one time when he was struggling. Same with Hestia and Hollis.
Somewhat, bit not between Silas and Phlox. Between Phlox and his dad.
19. How did family expectations shape their dynamic?
Koki doesn't feel like his parents care about him.
It made Lex a lot less willing to talk or share things happening in his life.
None... Val is pretty happy.
Phlox feels a lot of pressure. The first born son has a lot of traditions to uphold. He almost wants to do them to spare the pressure from Silas. But he wouldn't be happy, and that's not even what his parents want. Phlox can be a bit too overprotective of Silas.
35. If the character had to describe their relationship with their sibling in one sentence, what would it be?
hey lovely, you doing alright? you haven’t posted any bots lately (no rush, just genuinely worried if you’re feeling good)
Hi hi!
I honestly just haven't posted much of anything recently.
I'm not sick or anything, I just don’t have any ideas. I wanna do more with my OCs, but no one really seems interested in that. Requests have halted, completely empty.
So I'm just kinda here 🤷♀️ answering questions and chilling out.
I'll admit that recently, I haven't been having a great time. Work stuff, I've been sleeping in a lot more, etc.
Do with that what you will.
Short story long, I just need some inspiration. Here, where you're referring, etc.
Again again, but all the ones you havent answered yet
Oh boy there's a lot...
Do they all live together? If not, why?
No, none of them live with their siblings. They're all adults and have moved away from each other.
Who does your character connect with the most?
Koki gets long best with Suzuka. Lex gets along with Viva best, but even then it's still very strained. Val connects with Hestia the best, there's only a year between them, so they grew up very close. Phlox of course connects best with Silas...
Were they raised together from early childhood, or brought together later?
Koki was raised with his siblings, there's only a few years between each of them. Lex wasn't raised with them really, considering Viva is 15 years older than him. Val grew up with Hestia and Xanthe, though he had to (not so patiently) wait for Xanthe. Hollis was raised with Val as well, their parents are best friends. Phlox was raised with Silas and Aspen.
What is your character’s earliest memory involving a sibling?
Koki remembers going to one of his sister's soccer games when she was in first grade.
Lex barely remembers Viva's graduation. He was around 3 1/2.
Val remembers Christmas with Hestia, the first year Hollis got to spend the day with them cause his parents were out of town. But he remembers when Xanthe was born.
Phlox doesn't remember anything before Aspen's passing. Not even Silas being brought home.
How did they feel when each sibling was born or arrived? (excited, jealous, confused, or indifferent?)
Koki and Lex are the youngest...
Val was excited, so was Hollis. Hollis is an only child, but both he and Val consider each other brothers.
Phlox doesn't remember Silas coming home/born. So...
Who did they bond with first growing up?
For Koki it was Suzuka. Lex didn't bond with any of his siblings. Val had Hestia (or Hollis if we're gonna be real). Phlox bonded with Aspen first.
Who took the role or a mentor?
Ryota, Birdie and Emmett, Val, and Phlox.
Who got into trouble first, and who got blamed?
Koki, Lex, None of them...
Is the affection between siblings openly shown or mostly unspoken?
Koki does his best to show it, but it's often not openly reciprocated. Lex and his siblings leave it all unspoken, they pretty much never talk. Val is very open, Hollis isn't so much. Phlox is very very silent about it, he tries to let Silas know he's proud, but he isn't loud at all.
Who do they go to when in a crisis?
Koki and Lex normally go to each other since their siblings tend to not help... Hollis and Val typically go to each other. Phlox doesn't go to anyone.
Is there love mixed with resentment?
In Koki's case, yes, a lot. For Lex, no, he doesn't really love them since to him they aren't siblings. The love for his siblings is like a distant relative, more respect than love. Val and Hollis don't resent Hestia and Xanthe at all, they love them deeply. Phlox holds some resentment, but more because Silas never got to spend much time with Aspen, so he feels like he has some advantage or something. So I guess he really just resents himself?
Do they feel responsible for any sibling’s happiness or safety?
Koki and Lex: NO. Val, Hollis, Phlox: YES ABSOLUTELY
Which traits do the siblings share?
Physically: Koki and his siblings all have very warm brown eyes and wavy hair. Lex and all his siblings have blue eyes but they vary in shade. Val and his sisters all have very dark, warm skin tones. Phlox and his sibling all have the same nose and soft hair.
Personality: Koki and Lex don't really share much with their siblings. Val and his sisters all tend to be very emotionally intelligent and kind. Phlox and Silas share their sarcasm.
Which ones are complete opposites? Do they fight over it?
Lex and Birdie & Emmett, they fight a lot. Phlox and Silas, they literally never fight.
Does the character define themselves by not being like a sibling?
None of them define themselves by not being like a sibling, they're all fairly happy with themselves.
Do others mistake siblings for each other in behavior or reputation?
Koki and Lex no. Val has been called Hestia, mostly when they were both super young. Hollis has also been called Val. Phlox has been confused with Aspen (especially after she passed).
Who parents the others when the adults fail?
Suzuka, Birdie, Val, Phlox.
Who gets away with the most?
None of them, Sylvan, Xanthe (or Hollis), Silas.
Who is expected to succeed?
All of them, Phlox.
Who is underestimated?
Koki, Lex, none of them.
Who usually “wins” arguments?
Ryota, Birdie or Emmett, Hollis, neither.
Has your character ever taken punishment for a sibling?
No, No, Yes, Yes.
Who steps in when things go too far?
Suzuka, Viva, Val, Phlox.
Would your character lie to protect a sibling?
Maybe? No, yes, yes.
Have the siblings ever failed to protect one another?
No, no, no, yes (in his opinion).
Do they believe family should always come first?
No, no, yes, no.
How do the siblings usually hang out together?
Koki doesn't see Ryota very often, but he sometimes goes to lunch with Suzuka.
Lex doesn't hang out with his siblings unless necessary at family things.
Val normally hangs out with Hestia at band stuff, he hangs out with Xanthe on weekends (due to school) by doing all sorts of things (food, park, carnival, etc). Hollis will often take lunch to Xanthe between classes and they'll watch a show together, he sees Hestia at band practice.
Phlox only really sees Silas in person during family stuff, but Silas calls and texts often.
Are they known as a “package deal” or completely separate?

What “role” does each sibling play? (protector, peacemaker, rebel, golden child, outsider….)
Were they compared to a sibling often as a child?
Obviously Hollis wasn't compared to siblings since he doesnt have any. However, they did compare them to his cousins and such.
Koki was compared to his siblings for different reasons. Ryota for intelligence and looks. Suzuka for athletic skills and friendliness.
Lex was compared to all his siblings all the time, but most of all when he 1. Came out as bi. 2. Became an alcoholic + smoking + s*x addiction.
Val was never compared to his siblings. Maybe it's cause he's the oldest, but even then, his parents were the type compare.
Phlox wasn't compared to his siblings much. Especially not Aspen since his parents understood he blames himself. He was, however, compared to cousins. Like I've said before, Lingyun is traditional, but not overwhelmingly so. He would compare Phlox to cousins, trying to understand. He's used to his family's ways, so he specifically pointed out his sister's (Phlox's aunt) kids.
Who does your character struggles with the most?
Koki struggles the most with Ryota. I'll go into more depth later...
Lex struggles with all of them. His siblings feel more like aunts and uncles due to the age difference. He's not close to any of them.
Val struggles the most with Xanthe just because he still views her as a baby. That's his little baby sister. He's very protective, which causes strain.
Phlox doesn't struggle with Silas at all. Except that he's loud...
Do they trust their siblings with secrets?
Koki shares very very little with Suzuka. He doesn't completely trust her.
Lex trusts none of his siblings. Sylvan (3rd eldest) was the one who outted him. Since then he hasn't trusted any of them.
Val doesn't tend to tell his sister's secrets. Not cause he doesn't trust them, but because he likes to just be there for them rather than have them worry about him. Hollis is like his brother, so he tells him instead.
Phlox trusts Silas with most secrets, though there are many he keeps to himself.
What “role” does each sibling play? (protector, peacemaker, rebel, golden child, outsider….)
Ryota is the golden child, Suzuka is the caretaker, Koki is the clown/lost.
(In birth order) Birdie is the popular one, Emmett is the jock, Sylvan is the mastermind/golden child, Viva is the smart one/peacemaker, Lex is the screw-up/rebel.
Val is the protector, Hestia is the pretty one, Xanthe is the baby/social butterfly.
Aspen was the social butterfly, Phlox is the one everyone's scared of, Silas is the clown/peacemaker.
your band and phlox... Sorry I'm kinda obsessed with the idea of them.
How many siblings does your character have?
Where does your character fall in the birth order?
What is the age gap between each sibling?
Are they full siblings, half-siblings, step-siblings, or adopted?
How do the siblings usually hang out together?
☃️
I'm gonna add Val (the bassist)
How many siblings does your character have?
Hollis is an only child. Koki has a brother and sister. Val has two younger siblings. Lex has two brothers and two sisters. Phlox has a sister (deceased) and brother.
Where does your character fall in the birth order?
Hollis is the oldest... and youngest. Koki and Lex are the youngest. Val is the eldest. Phlox is technically the middle child.
What is the age gap between each sibling?
Hollis is very so old lmao.
Ryota is 4 years older than Koki, while Suzuka is 2 years older.
Val is a year older than Hestia and 6 years older than Xanthe.
Lex's youngest sibling is 15 years older than him.
Aspen is 3 years older than Phlox, Silas is 4 years younger.
Are they full siblings, half-siblings, step-siblings, or adopted?
All of them have full siblings. No half, step, or adopted.
How do the siblings usually hang out together?
Hollis left out again. 😔 (being silly)
Koki gets along with his sister fairly well, but both of his siblings are pretty close to being his opposite.
Val loves his sisters. Hestia is the band's social media manager, Xanthe helps her sometimes. They all get along very very well.
Because of the age gap, Lex is pretty distant from his siblings. Especially since his eldest sister is 21 years older. They all treat him more like a distant relative than anything else.
Phlox got along really well with Aspen when she was alive. But due to her death, he's become a bit distant with Silas. However, he loves his brother, they get along well, and Phlox is very protective of him. All that matters is Silas' happiness.
which of your band ocs would be most likely to get married or in a relationship without telling the others?
Also what's Phlox's ideal type? Is he super flexible?
☃️
Hollis. Absolutely him. He's very private and quiet. None of them would suspect a thing.
Phlox prefers women who are quiet as he likes silence. Sure, be fun and bright. But ultimately, dont interrupt his peace. He can't deal with people asking stupid questions (like the unfortunate consequences of the literacy crisis). Looks aren't a huge thing for him, but he definitely likes tattoos and piercings.
That vampire guy. I know you like him, so here's a lot 💭 ✈️ 🎻 🎶 🔱 🌈 🐶 💘 🎂 🍦 ☕️
💭 THOUGHT BALLOON — what is your oc's MBTI, enneagram, and/or other personality aspects (if known/interested in)?
Phlox is an INTJ-T if we're being super specific. His enneagram is 5w6. And his "type" is B or C, he fits both.
✈️ AIRPLANE — does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person?
He doesn't mind traveling, but will only travel if necessary. Other than that, he'd prefer to stay home.
🎻 VIOLIN — does your oc play any instruments? what is their skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/virtuoso/etc)?
He can play the violin veey very well. I think he'd be considered somewhat between advanced and virtuoso.
🎶 MUSICAL NOTES — what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?
He listens to a lot of sad ambiance. He likes some lo-fi, but normally listens to mellower songs. Phlox will have music playing in his penthouse most of the time.
🔱 TRIDENT EMBLEM — can your oc swim? do they enjoy swimming?
At one time, yes, he could. If he actually tried, he probably still could swim. However, he is terrified of large bodies of water (including large pools), so he doesn't really enjoy swimming.
🌈 RAINBOW — what is your oc's sexual orientation/gender identity? what pronouns do they use?
Straight, demiromantic and demisexual. He uses he/him.
🐶 DOG FACE — does your oc have any pets?
He doesn't. Not canonically, but he would have a medium-large sized dog. Maybe a Shar-Pei or a Chow Chow?
💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?
Silas is the most important person in his life. Silas is the youngest, so Phlox feels pretty protective. His brother's happiness is his priority.
🎂 BIRTHDAY CAKE — when is your oc's birthday? how old are they? what are their sun, moon, & rising signs (if known)? what about their tarot card, ruling planet, & ruling number (if known)? do they fit the typical traits of these sun, moon, & rising signs?
His birthday is January 9, 1998. He's 28 years old. He's a Capricorn, his Chinese zodiac is the Tiger. Moon is Gemini, rising is Capricorn, ruling planet is Saturn. His ruling number is 1, tarot card is the Hermit.
Tigers are considered very good friends, steady person, prefers routine, an open person, docile, contemplative, quite, shy. A lot of these do fit him, but he's not an open person.
Capricorns are deemed ambitious, reliable, loyal but reserved, responsible, practical, self-disciplined, pessimistic, workaholic, stubborn. All of these fit him very very well.
Saturn as a ruling planet means he thrives in environments where there is order, discipline, and clear boundaries. Rather than relying on luck, they are careful planners who think about the long-term implications of their actions.Often described as an "old soul," these individuals tend to learn the value of responsibility early in life, with their greatest successes coming later. All of which fits him.
I did plan his zodiac being Capricorn, but everything else was purely coincidence.
🍦 SOFT ICE CREAM — what is/are your oc's favorite ice cream flavor(s)?
He likes plain flavors. Mostly vanilla or just chocolate, no chunks or add-ins.
☕️ HOT BEVERAGE — does your oc prefer coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, water, or some other drink? how do they like to take this drink (ex. coffee with milk, hot chocolate with whipped cream, a specific kind of tea, etc)?
He loves coffee. Phlox has coffee every morning, normally hot. But he also likes iced coffees. If hot, he likes lattes, but he likes iced vanilla coffees with espresso.
💭 THOUGHT BALLOON — what is your oc's MBTI, enneagram, and/or other personality aspects (if known/interested in)?
🚗 CAR — does your oc have a driver's license? can they drive/operate any automobiles/machinery besides cars?
🎻 VIOLIN — does your oc play any instruments? what is their skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/virtuoso/etc)?
❤️ RED HEART — what are three of your oc's positive traits?
🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?
🍝 SPAGHETTI — what is/are your oc's favorite food(s)?
🍰 SHORTCAKE — what is/are your oc's favorite sweet(s)/dessert(s)?
🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?
Admittedly those types of things are not things that I'm super familiar with. And atp Panthera's personality is so shaped by his trauma that he'd get totally different results if I tested him as a kid vs as an adult. I'm looking at a summary of the mbti things and if I had to say, I'd guess INTJ, INTP, or ISTJ
Panthera doesn't legally exist so no he doesn't have a license and no he can't drive. It's really funny to me that he doesn't know how to drive because it's new technology that he doesn't need (he teleports, why would he need a vehicle?). At one point I imagined him knowing how to fly a helicopter of all things but idk how he would ever learn that so that's not canon
He infact does know how to play the violin. I'm not super familiar with skill levels but considering he's lived for 900 years I'd say he's probably intermediate or advanced?
He's incredibly intelligent and clever. He stands by his morals. He's not afraid to stand up for and defend others
Neutral traits? Idek what you mean by that. Perfectionistic? Cautious? Stoic?
Favorite food... Hmmm he loves some good ribs. Any type of curry that's adapted to his needs he would adore. He unfortunately can't enjoy most of his cultures food because that's mostly noodles and other than rice noodles (that are prepared properly because celiac) he can't eat them. He'd like kebabs, but would be only okay with seafood. Anything over white rice would be up his alley too
There aren't any sweets Panthera can/will eat 😅 ask me how I know
Quirks/mannerisms... Hmmm what counts as a quirk... He's basically religious about folding clothes and putting stuff where it belongs? He has nearly perfect posture, in fact his posture slipping is a telltale sign that something is wrong.

Do you have any ocs who started out as fan characters, or as adaptations of canon characters who eventually became their own thing? If so, what did their character progression look like?
Nope! All of my OCs are handmade lmao. They might have some inspiration from other things, but I've never made a character based on a canon character.
Do you have an oc "type?" (AKA, are there any design or characterization trends that you notice popping up amongst your characters?)
Let me show you my 3 faves and let y'all decide...
Which one of your ocs would you want to dress like if you could get away with it?
I'm not really sure there's one I wanna dress like... maybe Hollis?
Which one of your ocs *actually *dresses the most similarly to you?
I think if I had to say one, I'd say Hollis. But I typically dress a bit different. Yeah baggy pants or whatever, but that's basically that's the only thing thats the same. I can't handle wearing jewlery.
What is a fact about one of your ocs that you've never gotten to share with someone before?
I only have 2 canon left handed OCs (Liam and Phlox). However, Phlox taught himself to be ambidextrous.
Which of your ocs has the most tragic backstory and why?
It's a toss up between Liam and Phlox. Liam was pretty severely abused growing up. Phlox had to watch his sister die and pull her to shore, then suffered with the effects of that...
So take your pick.
Which one of your ocs would you consider the weirdest, and why?
Hmmm... maybe Lex or Koki? Probably leaning more towards Koki.
Koki is a little weirdo that so cute and sweet. He loves being just a silly little guy.
