I get that light had good intentions but he was still wrong đ
The thing is, and Iâll keep saying this âtil Iâm blue in the face despite no one actually really caring lol, Light wanted a world free from evil, and he felt the problem with criminals is that they werenât being punished âcorrectlyâ. He felt he could be a saviour of society by resolving the problem the easy way by mass murder while failing to realise why crime occurs in the first place.
This can all come down to Lightâs youth (youth is ignorance) and Lightâs privilege (raised in a middle class family). What Light fails to understand in his bliss naivety is that crime cannot be summed as âCrime happens because bad people get away with itâ. Itâs a lot more complex than that and thatâs not difficult to understand. He fails to recognise why people do bad things and that is the result of his upbringing as a well off, middle class child.Â
He was never going to âcureâ the world of crime. As long as there were people, there was going to be crime. Light didnât care whether people were convicted despite being innocent. He saw a face, a name, and he wrote it. There wasnât time for him to investigate each criminalâs case to pass a âfairâ judgement on them and Iâm using âfairâ loosely here. Light saw that they were a criminal and he saw that they were a black mark on the clean slate of society.
People were going to keep committing crime regardless of whether Light came forward as âGod of the New Worldâ because he hadnât resolved key issues within society.
Even just putting aside Lightâs aim to wipe out all criminals, he was eventually going to move on to those who didnât contribute to society - specifically meaning âlazyâ people. But how is he categorising that? Who counts as lazy and not contributing to society? How was he going to decide that?
There are many types of intelligence and yes, Light was a genius. He was great at sports, great at school, he could make friends easily and get girlfriends easily. But he was still just, plain stupid. His inexperience in the world around him and with people who are not as well off as him, who donât have the same advantages as he does, makes him.. stupid.
We are serving up the TEA tonight. đ„âïž

I Will Personally Put You In This Morgue! (Sherlock)
Request: Sherlock x reader. The reader has a prosthetic leg. Anderson calls her a freakÂ
Warning(s): prosthetic leg (obviously, if that even is a warning), slight language, insultsÂ
Word Count: 1,589 (geez)Â
Reader Gender: Female (if this was supposed to be male/nonbinary PLEASE TELL ME AND I WILL FIX IT)Â
Authors Note: SO SO SO SORRY ON HOW LATE THIS IS! Iâve had a lot of schoolwork and Iâve been out, but here it is. It was also a little challenging to write so I hope I did it correctly. I hope you like this, anon. :) Personally I canât stand Anderson so I love this.Â
Another Authors Note: This takes place in âThe Great Gameâ (s1e3) for reference. I tried to get it as close as possible, but I did have to change it up some for the request. :)Â
âHeâs not gay! Why do you have to spoil-heâs not!â
Thatâs what I hear as I step into the room. I see Molly standing at the end of a table. Sherlock is at the other end looking into a microscope, with John behind him. I had been outside of the building talking to Lestrade about the case, when John texted me, telling me to come in. Apparently, he had done that so that he would not be alone when this argument went down. Really, I had to walk all the way down here for this?Â
âWith that level of personal grooming?â Sherlock says, snorting. It comes off as a question, but I know he doesnât mean it that way. He looks up from the microscope, and glances at me. His hand moves to gesture toward an empty chair, and I accept gratefully. I hope Iâm not blushing too much at him helping me.Â
âBecause he puts a bit of product in his hair?â John asks, âI put product in my hair.â I giggle at how offended he looks.Â
âYou wash your hair,â Sherlock responds, âthereâs a difference.â He turns to Molly. âNo,no - tinted eyelashes; clear signs of taurine cream around the frown lines; those tired clubberâs eyes. Then thereâs his underwear.âÂ
âHis underwear?â Molly looks dumbfounded, raising her eyebrows as she speaks. I look at him too, wondering where heâs going with this.Â
âVisible above the waistline â very visible; very particular brand,â He says, leaning toward the Petri dishes. He pulls out a slip of paper, then says:Â
âThat, plus the extremely suggestive fact that he just left his number under this dish herâŠand Iâd say youâd better break it off now and save yourself the pain.â Damn. At least heâs thorough. Molly runs out of the room, and I turn to Sherlock.Â
âCharming,â I say, rolling my eyes. Even though theyâre blunt, I think itâs amazing how he is able to make his deductions. But, people get hurt sometimes. He looks over his shoulder at me.Â
âIsnât it kinder to save her the time?â He asks, and I shake my head. He shrugs and looks over to John. He points to the shoes, the actual case itself.Â
âOff you go,â he says to John. The man looks surprised, but picks up the shoes to attempt to get as much information as possible. Sherlock gets up, walks over, and sits down next to me.Â
âI still donât quite understand how you manage to walk so well on that leg,â he says. His voice is slow, as if heâs trying not to offend me. Strange, I think, with others he wouldnât care. I look over at him and shrug.Â
âIâve gotten used to it,â I say as I place my hand on the prosthetic. As I do, my mind goes back to the accident. Riding in the taxi, when another car runs into the side. My leg pinned, people trying to get me out, but I couldnât. The pain, the excruciating pain all in my leg. When people finally got me out and got me to the hospital, only to be told Iâd have to lose my leg. The grief that followed.Â
A hand on my shoulder brings me back to reality. I look to see Sherlock looking at me. Maybe Iâm imagining it, but I swear I saw concern all over his face. As I start to say something, the door opens. In walks Lestrade and the rest of the team, including the irritating Anderson.Â
âFind anything?â Lestrade asks. He looks at John, but we all know the question is for any of us. Sherlock jumps up and walks to John.Â
âTell me what youâve found, doctor,â Sherlock says. John starts rattling off different things to do with the shoes. I get up to go look at the Petri dish still under the microscopeâs eye. As I walk over, I can feel eyes on me. People always look at me strangely, due to the way I walk, so it doesnât faze me much. I sit down at the microscope and look into it, only for someone pull on my wrist. I look over, annoyed at being drawn away from the case, and see Anderson.
Stupid prick. I roll my eyes and pull my arm out of his grasp. When I head for the microscope, he pulls it away from me. Reaching to grab it, I step off of the stool. Thanks to my prosthetic, however, I lose my balance and have to grab onto the counter to stay upright. He smirks at me, then gets up in my face.
âYouâre pathetic, Y/N,â he sneers, âand a freak. You canât do anything on your own. You think youâre smart but youâre as smart as a rock. Why donât you do us a favor and hobble out of here, and let the professionals handle this?â I sit there, shocked into silence. The words cut through me like razors, and I fight back tears.Â
Then, I hear a calm, but deadly voice.Â
âJohn, take Y/N out please,â Sherlock says. âEveryone else out, except for Anderson.â I see Lestrade start to protest, but after seeing the look in his eyes, stays quiet. John walks over to me, and offers his arm. I accept, and he doesnât complain when I put a lot of weight on him. He knows what Anderson said, and he understands that it hurt. Once we get out, I head to a bench. I sit down and put my face in my hands. Donât cry, donât cry. Then, I jump as I feel an arm around me.Â
âSorry,â John moves his arm. I shake my head.Â
âItâs okay, just wasnât expecting it,â I respond, âsome comfort would be nice at the moment, actually.â He puts his arm back around me, and I lean in. Then, the yelling starts.Â
âANDERSON, YOU INCOMPETENT, UNINTELLIGENT, IMBECILE! YOU CALL HER PATHETIC, YET YOU PAY WOMEN TO SPEND TIME WITH YOU! ALSO, DONâT YOU DARE SAY SHE CANâT DO ANYTHING ON HER OWN!â Thereâs a pause, and I hear a fist connect with a stomach repeatedly. âYOU CANNOT EVEN MAKE A SANDWICH WITHOUT HELP! AND YOU WANT TO QUESTION HER INTELLIGENCE? SHE HAS MORE INTELLIGENCE IN HALF A BRAIN CELL THAN YOU WILL EVER HAVE!â Another pause. Someone is probably getting punched again. âANDERSON, YOU ARE THE MOST WORTHLESS SCUM ON THE PLANET, CALLING THIS ASTOUNDING GIRL A FREAK! IF YOU EVER TRY TO TEAR HER DOWN AGAIN, I WILL PERSONALLY PUT YOU IN THIS MORGUE!â
I stare in disbelief at John. His eyes are wide, and he stands up. I realize then that my face has gotten hot. I stand up, being careful this time as to not lose my footing. Lestrade comes over to me, and places a hand on my back to guide me to the door of the room. He leans down towards my ear.Â
âJust so you know, this means Sherlock likes you,â he whispers. I look at him, not knowing what to say. He sighs, then whispers: âThat means you should ask him to dinner, then.âÂ
I open my mouth but once again say nothing, being met with a smirk by John. He knew this entire time, I think. We walk back into the morgue to see Anderson on the floor, unconscious. Thereâs blood on his face, from being hit by Sherlock. I look over at where he is sitting. I see something different in his eyes, something Iâve never seen before. John goes to him and whispers something to Sherlock. After, he motions for everyone to leave. As I start to walk out, John puts his hand on my shoulder.Â
âNot you,â he says, smiling softly. He leaves, and I turn back to Sherlock. He looks back at me, then at his hands. Theyâre covered in blood. I walk to a sink in the corner of the morgue, and wet a cloth. Sitting down next to him, I put the cloth over his knuckles and hold it. He looks at me.Â
âThank you, Y/N,â he says quietly. I smile a little.Â
âNo, thank you, Sherlock,â I reply, âfor defending me. You didnât have to.âÂ
âThat pig deserved every bit of it,â he responds quickly. âBesides, you should never have to hear all of those lies.â I feel my face heat up again.Â
âLestrade said I should buy you dinner to thank you,â I proceed cautiously.
âThat would be lovely,â he says. I look at him to say something else, then notice that Iâm only a few inches away from his face. Sherlock sees it the same time I do, and I know he can tell what Iâm thinking. Yet, Iâm still surprised when he leans in. I close my eyes, and our lips meet. The kiss is light, as if heâs afraid he will scare me off. Yet, thereâs so much there, the sense that he deeply cares for me, but in a different form than how he cares for John.Â
When we pull away, we sit there for a moment. Then, Sherlock starts to smile, and I start to laugh a little. He takes the cloth and throws it across the room. Instead of an arm, he offers his hand to me. I take it, and we walk over Anderson and out of the room. As we step out of the building, all I can think is, I canât believe I just kissed Sherlock in a morgue, and my leg didnât get in the way.

Beginners Guide to Weight Loss
Iâve been there - over-weight, exhausted, overwhelmed, not sure where to start. But start I did and I think Iâm pretty fit compared to most people my age ( letâs just say Iâm in my 40s).
Here are some tips from my experience.
1 - Focus on changing your eating habits and ignore exercise in the beginning. Trying to do it all is overwhelming and youâre more likely to give up when youâre overwhelmed. Studies have proven time and again that exercise does little for weight loss. Donât get me wrong - itâs still important for the health of your lungs, heart, muscles, your whole body. But letâs tackle one thing at a time. Focus on eating better and once youâve got that nailed then start to incorporate exercise. Doesnât matter if that takes 6 months, itâs important to focus your energy where youâll get the biggest payoff and most noticeable results, and thatâs nutrition.
2 - Focus on the goal of the day, not the big picture. Thinking things like âIf I lose 2 lbs every week for the next 10 weeks Iâll be 140 lbs by May, then another 20 lbs by Julyâ - again, gets overwhelming. The path is so long and arduous itâs easy to get discouraged. Focus on meeting your goals today. Then do the same tomorrow. Then again the day after that. Keep your head down and only every once in a while look up to see how far youâve come.
3 - Donât make weight loss your goal. Make meeting your calorie or macro target your goal. This is called action-oriented goal setting, not result-oriented goal setting. If you do the actions right the result will happen as a happy side effect.
4 - Come to terms with the fact that this is forever. If you make temporary changes, your results will be temporary. You need to accept that you will need to eat healthy and exercise for the rest of your life if you want to maintain the weight loss. What changes is once youâve reached your weight loss goal you can have indulgent moments, and recover from them much faster because youâll only have 2 or 3 lbs to lose to get back to goal, not 20.
5 - Donât compare yourself and your journey to anyone elseâs.
Starting another 24 hr Fast
I ate a few calories past my Tracking Appâs food budget today, so Iâm fasting today and into tomorrow. Last time I fasted I did 22 hours I think before my family ate dinner and I had to eat w/ them bc Christmas Holidays, am I right?
So yeah Iâm aiming to equal that or beat it. Hopefully I can do what I did last time and drop about 3-4 lbs through the fasting day while my metabolism works. Iâll be doing exercise as well.
Iâll be letting myself drink lots of lemon and fruit water of course. The only thing Iâm a little bit worried about is my mom taking me to the Grocery store w/ her in the morning. Iâll burn that bridge when I get to it haha đ„đ„(and burn those calories while Iâm at it)
Stay Safeđžâš
Update 1: the time is 10:34am and my 24 mark is about 8 (probably a little earlier tbh but Iâm guessing and I donât want to cheat myself out of 24.) So Iâve got about 9 1/2 hrs left. Iâve already skipped breakfast and Iâm about to go look for some lemon water.
reblog with the age ana got you
i was 13.
11; 12 when I got serious.
I believe you guys are all having a nice day but letâs take a look at these
So Iâm doing my first 24 hr fast today and I havenât ate since about 9:30 last night and I only have 4 hrs left to go now. I just weighed myself and after having fasted all day Iâm 112.4, which is my lowest weight of all time. Iâm so excited oh my god.
Current time left in fast:4
((Will be updating this))
So now itâs less than 3 hrs left but my family is eating dinner in about an hr so Iâm thinking I may just have to do a 22 but tbh Iâm still really okay with that bc Iâve never fasted for more than like 15 hrs before ((including sleep)

SO PROUD
The Fantastic 4 we deserve
OMG IVE ONLY SEEN THIS POST IN SCREEN SHOTS
LEGENDARY POST???
ITS BACK
I LOVES THIS
I want to draw them as a super hero group. Is that weird? Lol
THIS POST IS IMMORTAL
AU where Eurus isnât a psychopath (I know thatâs what makes her who she is but I love her and I just want her to be HAPPY) but is an even bigger sociopath than her brothers, and her parents make sure she gets help to handle her problems rather than just locking her up somewhere
-She eventually manages to join Sherlock and Victorâs pirate game, becoming the first lady pirate on their ship (and shooting and fighting just like the two boys.)
-Sherlock and Eurus growing up having a bond no one else can understand. Playing together, planning experiments together, pulling pranks on Mycroft (Whoâs always annoyed by them but secretly loves them and is amused watching them play)
-Victor NOT being murdered but instead growing up being a close friend with Sherlock and connecting with Eurus and they become a three way thing.
-Everyone in their school knows about the Holmes brother and sister genius duo. They think Sherlock is condescending and Eurus is creepy, but they couldnât care less. They donât hang out with people but each other and Victor (other kids are just too stupid and slow), making deductions and social experiments in the school yard and laughing while no one understands. Sherlock and Victor kind of drift apart over the years but they keep in touch, and in their grown years, when Sherlock lives in 221B every once in a while Victor comes to visit and calls âYellowbeard!â to which Sherlock answers âRedbeard!â and they start imitating pirate fights and John is kinda like âwtfâ
-Teachers sending Eurus to the schoolâs council several times after disturbing suggestions of theoretical psychological experiments on human beings in psychology/sociology class. Every time she has to sigh and explain that sheâs âNot a psychopath, Iâm a high functioning sociopath, my parents had me tested.â Despite all that, she was very talented in getting out of trouble since she was very persuasive. (Which was useful whenever Sherlock got caught smoking in school.)
-Eurus and Sherlock helping each other to deal with their depression and feeling of emptiness that follows their intellectual abilities and mentality. Having long philosophical debates into the night. Eurus and Mycroft taking care of Sherlock when they find him passed out on drugs for the first time. Theyâre broken and furious and worried. âHow could you be so stupid?â Eurus asks angrily. Sherlock answers weakly, âIâm not as clever as you.â
-Sherlock still ends up being a detective because a lot of people become detectives without having their childhood friend murdered so why the fuck not
-Sherlock and Mycroft fighting over whoâs the smart one and Eurus is like âShut up both of you, IâM the smart one.â
-Eurus working in highest most secret levels of the government, alongside her brother. Her talents and flexible morality are perfect for the governmentâs needs. Whether itâs processing information better than any computer to find out about possible dangers and terminate them, or using her psychological manipulation abilities to make criminals give out information or convince them to get that information for them. Since this use of her talent is unconventional and highly immoral, this specific part of her job is kept secret and outside her ranks is only heard of in rumors and is known as âThe East Windâ.
- Moriarty was brought to her after she tracked him as a dangerous personality, and he was the first and only person sheâs met who wasnât only clever enough to resist her methods, but to play back. It was never such a challenge for her to crack someone. (She did eventually of course.)
-Moriarty becoming the Irene to her Sherlock in the way that yes heâs a criminal but holy shit they canât resist their chemistry and fascination of each other and he didnât do any verifiable crime anyway
-Mycroft being so exasperated by his two siblings like âcan you two stop fucking criminalsâ and theyâre like âlol nopeâ
-Until of course Moriarty decides to make bringing Sherlock down his personal goal because NO ONE MESSES WITH HER LITTLE BROTHER
The Smarter Holmes
So we all know that Eurus is the smartest, by far, out of the three siblings. But the discourse remains about Mycroft vs. Sherlock. Obviously, itâs expressed that Mycroft is supposed to be the superior, but . . . I donât think so.
For starters, there are overall skillsets. If it were just politics, Mycroft would take the cake (pun intended). But Sherlock is shown to have the upper hand in field work, emotions, and the fine arts. I think Sherlock takes all-around skillsets.Â
Thereâs also the fact that Mycroft calls on Sherlockâs help on multiple occasions, with Sherlock having saved his life multiple times. Now, obviously Mycroft has saved Sherlockâs life, but frankly, thatâs mostly with the drugs. Yes, the criminals too, but Sherlock never specifically asks, and now he has John to help him. John is obviously less capable than either of the Holmes but is still capable of saved Sherlock. Mycroft, however, is called upon by Parliament to save them from a terror attack in TEH after he has just returned from disbanding the largest criminal connections network in the world single-handedly on behalf of the British Government, is called to stop Irene Adler in aSiB, gets rid of the worst national security threat in the show (Charles Magnessun) in HLV, is immediately after sent back into Eastern Europe, i immediately called and âneededâ by England (aka Mycroft) when Moriarty âreturnsâ, and in the following episode, where he uncovers a loose link within the British Governmentâs closest inner circle (Vivian in tST). And when the Final Problem comes around, Mycroft is willing to die, but Sherlock gets both of his brothers (him and John Watson) out of there alive. Despite all these examples, the fact still stands that Mycroft is constantly saving his little brother to the best of his ability. Iâd say this is a tie, but I do lean towards Sherlock on this one, just because he is called upon not just by Mycroft, but the entire British Government and Parliament, collectively.
But you all came here to see who was actually smarter, not just who was more useful. Again, I say Sherlock.
The thing is, Sherlock believes Mycroft is smarter. But if you think about it, we see the most evidence of this when Sherlock is shot and Mycroft calls him an idiot while he is trying to figure out how to fall, how to not die, etc. But the thing is, all of this is within Sherlockâs mind palace. Sherlock has thought since he was a child that his older brother was the smarter brother, so naturally, heâd be in his mind palace. Mrs. Hudson says during TLD that âhe doesnât realize how much of an idiot you [Mycroft] are!â I think thatâs true. U think Sherlock thinks Mycroft is leaps and bounds smarter than he is when thatâs simply not the case.Â
And lastly, Eurus says it. Eurus Holmes, who knows them both at their deepest levels, and is canonically smarter than either of them, says Mycroft is slower than Sherlock. Say what you want about my Queen Eurus, but Iâm taking her word on this very seriously.
Look, Iâm not saying Mycroft is not intelligent. He is an absolute genius, and Sherlock would not be as smart as he is without having learned from him. I think Mycroft is wiser and more sensible, as he possesses more knowledge about politics and psychology. He was even able to completely erase Eurus and Victor from Sherlockâs memories as a child. If that's not genius, I donât know what is. He is also undeniably more mature than Sherlock.Â
(I do have a headcanon that basically Mycroft and Eurus donât just have the âdeductionâ thing but also the âpsychologial manipulationâ thing, and Sherlock would have grown into it, but Mycroft didnât want another Eurus so he purposely never taught it to Sherlock. But thatâs a headcanon for another day.)
So yeah, I think when it comes to bare intelligence, however, Sherlock is the victor (I need to stop with these puns). But obviously, Mycroft is not stupid and comes incredibly close in intelligence, even surpassing Sherlock in many ways.
So yeah, thanks for coming to my TedTalk. Â
âI donât have a resting bitch face. My bitch face is always on duty, ever vigilant. My bitch face will rest when its work is doneâ
