What to do if you wasted your twenties?

ا تتَعلّق بِشخصٍ لا يكتُب لك ، لا يُزاحِم يوْمك ، لَا يقْرأ ما بِك ، لا يحفَظ أهَمَّ تواريخِك ولا يَملئ حياتَك بالمُفاجَآت.

I don't think it's that impressive to just be a presence when people put something on social media and call that effort. It's obviously more complicated than that but like people don't need to pretend they were or are some amazing friend when it's about convenience and what's in front of them, handed to them like fast food. When this involves shit like race and active trauma it's even more of a fast food friendship to just "see" them and not actually engage.

Fell down a rabbit hole on plastic surgery Instagram, and there's entire communities of people who essentially have to keep records of patients maimed or killed during procedures like lipo or Brazilian butt lifts because there seems to be zero accountability of plastic surgeons (abroad or in the U.S.) who fuck people up. One of these groups had pictures of a woman with severe "lipo burn", e.g, profound tissue damage caused by overly aggressive liposuction, that progressed into necrotizing fasciitis, and the doctor (who has an Instagram account and posts videos of procedures) pops in to blame the patient for being a smoker??? His most recent post is only two days old and it seems he has zero concern about repercussions? None of these doctors do, despite multiple horrifying accounts from patients! There's stories about doctors working on 5 patients a day, overscheduling and pawning off patients on assistants and other doctors in spite of the fact that the patient specifically chose them for their work. (Many of these patients are financing the procedures with credit lines and must take time off for travel and recovery, so simply walking away when you are literally at the doctor's office waiting to have the procedure done is difficult.)
