I was able to do some water studies today!
Iām planning on entering an art competition and the theme is water, but I donāt know how to paint that, so I did some studies! Iām really happy with how the green one specifically, turned out! And Iām really excited for this art competition. Fingers crossed I donāt lose motivation for it. (š¤š¤š¤)

I got an Apple Pencil (stylus) for Christmas, and Iāve been trying it out!! I am SO frickinā happy I have this thing! It makes it SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER!! Iām not done with this one yet; itās just a rough draft. I started drawing a different one and I think Iāll be finishing that one before I come back to this one.

I woke up to make ONE post, and instead Iāve posted to Instagram, Reddit, and now Tumblr. TikTok will have to wait a little longer, unfortunately.
Anyways. I painted this to practice painting/drawing makeup, something Iām not very good at yet. I think it turned out okay, but I do wish it was just a little bit more close to the reference photo I was working off of. Specifically the color of the shadows. Itās okay. Iām just not there yet.

The earrings are for my boyfriend, the blue and pink cloud painting is his younger siblingās, and the fan art of Louise Belcher is for his little sister.
Iām super happy with how they turned out and Iām excited for the new year! I want to post more on other platforms like Tumblr this year, so look forward to seeing some more things!

An experimental sketch I did a few days ago. I do really like how it turned out, but I think it would look better with color. I didnāt use color because itās pencil and it wouldāve smudged horribly, but next time Iāll add color.
