I took some time to relax this weekend by upcycling an old broken Halloween decoration.
It was not a high quality piece before a big chunk of it broke off years ago, but I thought it had potential as an addition to the mini neighborhood we have going here. I think I was right.
I repainted the base statue with acrylic markers. This was quite a roughly molded piece, but I didnβt aim for perfect and a lot can be done with a better paint job and set dressing!
I then built up the tree using wood and moss from my studio stash and decorated with some flowering vines and scrub assembled from bits of faux greenery, again courtesy of the stash.
Iβm still deciding exactly where this new house will settle, but Iβm very pleased with how it turned out and it will make a nice addition to the neighborhood.
