I've been working full-time for the last 16 years and was in a pattern of wake up, work, dinner, gym, sleep. 2025 was the first year I took a total of 4 weeks off and ended up going on 2 trips. One being my first solo trip ever, and it was the best feeling ever. I would always wait for family/friends to be able to travel with my before booking and the majority of the time nothing would get planned or they'd cancel and I'd end up sitting at home or just working. This year I said eff it and booked the trip. It was the first time I chose me. It's the first time in a long time that I felt like I was living. It's the same feeling I want to have for all of 2026. I want to see the world, to work so I can enjoy life. I am choosing to have an exciting and fulfilling life. I'm going to thrive.
