I’ll share more stories about him and some of our experiences in the days and weeks to come. Right now, I need to just think about him and about how wonderful a dog he was. He was a kinder, better human being than most people. And that’s the truth.

Thought you would all appreciate a Willie update. I took these just a few minutes ago. How sweet is this guy? I have to help him get on his feet if he’s been laying down for a while and he barely walk around the yard right now, but he was so happy and proud to receive a new knitted cowl and to pose for pictures. He loves modeling and doing a short session on the side of the house really works for him. I’m planning a blog post with some of these pictures and more tomorrow. We are coming off the prednisone now and his chiropractic vet has offered to treat him once a week. I’ve also been instructed on some therapy to do at home for him. I’ll share that in the next post. So while this guy is having a really hard time, he’s still a precious angel and still smiling. We are doing all we can for this wonderful dog. Thank you for all the kind and supporting messages!! It really helps.?

Hey Everybody!! These are pictures of Willie from this morning. He’s on a lot of pain meds now and is having more trouble each day getting around….but he’s still the sweetest guy ever. And he still wants to pose for pictures. He knew I was in the garage doing some table top photos and sat right at the door waiting for me to bring him out for his photo sesh. So I brought him out just for a couple of minutes and took a few pictures of him sitting there with me. I’m going to give him another bath this week and knit him something new to wear for a photo session. Don’t worry. It will only be a few minutes and he will be just outside the garage. He can’t do car rides anymore. He loves to model and be the center of attention. I think it feels normal to him, and he needs what feels normal right now. We are taking things day by day and watching him closely. He eats really well and always takes his medicine. I am medicating him 4 times a day, so it’s around the clock. And he needs to go out for the bathroom every couple of hours now. It’s rough, but we are getting through it. He couldn’t get himself up yesterday afternoon so I had to get my arms under his chest and lift him up until he could get steady on his feet. It’s breaking my heart, but I’m doing my best not to get upset. I lost it some yesterday and he just looked at me like he was so sad about making me cry. This is tough on us, people. Think a kind thought for my guy. He could really use it.
