“Eh…?” Koori raises an eyebrow, bewilderment panting his features as he struggles to figure out where exactly is Furuta going with this. Never in his life has he ever met someone so expressive in his life and while he’ll admit that it’s overwhelmingly distracting Koori decides not to pay too much attention to it. There’re more pressure issues to attend to.
“You say the CCG is falling apart right? If that is so then…riling investigators up following acts of savagery, by children no less is probably not the best way to go about things.” In spite of his obvious opposition, the young hope can’t deny that Furuta’s confidence as their leader is imperative as it gives them hope that he will lead them on a better path. For that, he makes sure not to be too hard on their new bureau chief.
The moment Furuta’s gloved hand lands on his shoulder there’s a chill in the air he’s sure wasn’t there prior. Even still, Furuta needs him and as his advisor he must do his best to help him lead the CCG during times of great peril. The way he almost pleads for his loyalty the young hope can’t tell whether to find it alluring or concerning. Regardless of whatever he may feel personally, Koori remembers what he says and for now he will stand by his word.
“Remember when I said I will stand by you and assume all responsibility for your actions? I really want to but you better not let me down. I want to believe you are a capable leader but I need to know you have enough of a heart not to blindly lead your investigators to death. We are supposed to be heroes of justice…not rabid animals on a suicide mission.”
If the CCG is really done for then you better fix it.
“ you see, koori... after the last clown attack, everyone in this place was just... broken inside... after all, everyone here has ended up killing humans thinking they were ghouls with a clown mask! the morale was just down! underground! negative! below zero! ” the hand goes away from the shoulder only to flail dramatically in the air. this is how you get the audience interested! you express yourself! koori doesn’t seem very convinced, however. he will have to be subtle. more gentle. he can’t lose him now, after all. “ long story short! we needed a shock! even if morally ambiguous and stuff like that! we needed something that could’ve made people tremble with excitement and determination! the strongest kind of hope! ” pirhouette! this is truth! a strong hope to give so that you can dominate them all! and yet that hope didn’t reach koori. doubt reached him. “ death? rabid animals? suicide mission? koori! you hurt me! i would never do that! after this initial shaking of the system, everything is going to go back to how it was before! ” and with the brightest of smiles, but a bright darkness, a bright gloom that you however can’t help but trust... “ trust me, koori! we’re going to bring the CCG to its former glory! ”
