I frown at the watch. It's time was wrong. That was really dumb, seriously, who sets a watch wrong? Especially a cool looking one like this. But it's okay! I could fix it. I could always fix things. I could make them perfect.
Setting the time back, I frowned at the distinct feeling of being off. The world around me seemed to blip, and in a blink I was... in a kitchen?
The world was off, tinged in red and almost corrupted. Things reached out to touch me, voices whispering for me to get out. I rolled my eyes. They were impure, imperfect. I could not be bothered by them. I grabbed one, pulling it towards me. Something inhuman screamed, and struggled.
My eyes caught sight of another person. He looked... remarkably like me! Shorter, with round glasses and freckles. Light brown hair, he hummed as he pulled a baked tray of cookies out of an oven.
He would be perfect. I knew instantly, that this one would be perfect for my famILY! Afterall, this one seemed to be... another version of me! And that meant he was perfect, or close to it. I took a step towards him, the red blinked out, leaving me properly in the world.
"Hello!" I say, grinning as I walk closer, grabbing the other by the shoulder. The man was about to speak, but I glanced at the watch.
I made sure I had the other man by the shoulder, and clicked the button. Arriving back at the hotel, I giggled, shoving the other man to the ground. Fresh baked cookies scattered across the ground. He just barely stopped the tray from burning him.
"I think I'll call you.... Pat!" I say cheerily.
