Patapon 1's English oath is this one:

TO THOSE WHO SEEKETH EARTHEND If thou hast found o holy drum, the Patapons shall be your sons. Whether thou has rhythm or nay, sway thine hips and learn the way. Thine efforts shall bear fruit one day, and Patapons will march and say: "O Mighty Lord of Patapons, we thank you now for what you've done! Our glory is right back on track; thank God you signed the holy pact!"

Patapon 2's oath in English:

Patapon Oath - I hereby pledge to honor and keep my promise to be the Great Leader of the Patapons and help them reach Earthend. I will not stray from my goal, even in face of death or great peril. Even at moments of weakness, I will keep the beat and feel the rhythm of the earth. From this point forward, I promise to keep my pledge and take this drum of courage and be the Mighty Leader I was meant to be… This is my oath.

which translates to

And Patapon 3's oath is this one:

Uberhero's Pledge The Patapons are in need. I take the form of an Uberhero, so that I may guide them to their rightful destiny. As it has been time and time before, I brandish my holy drum, and will use it only for good, to help the Patapons save this endangered world. Whatever challenges may await us, whatever dangers may befall us, I shall call upon allies from parallel worlds, and never abandon the fight. This is my pledge.

Meden actually says "Ha-paya", not "papaya", you can see this in the archive of the official website us.playstation.com/patapon, select "extra" and hover on Meden. (too bad that website archive is incomplete)

Similarly, even though the official soundtrack in english says "bonberabo", the official japanese playlist and the in-game voice line files say "ponberabou" for the victory cry."

Hello, I'm looking for someone who speaks Japanese and English in the fandom, who could tell us more about the original translation of the game: can you please tell us about the characters' genders? In the English translation, it seems like we only have a handful of women (Meden, Queen Kharma, the Patapon Princess) and the rest is defined as men, including Kamipon the player who is sometimes even called a king (definitely gendered), but I suspect the japanese translation is more open to interpretation, am I guessing right? Thanks in advance!

Also people who know a lot about Rolito's intentions might be relevant, maybe he had his own headcanon? I'm not confident enough to go ask him on threads or something...
