No one should be deceived by the wealth and status of anyone, and think that the fact that Allah has bestowed upon him worldly gain is a sign that Allah loves him or that he is following the truth.

[Taysīr al-Karīm ar-Rahmān fī Tafsīr Kalām al-Mannān, 8/338]

"If you knew the true value of yourself, you would never allow yourself to be humiliated by committing sins.

When Iblīs refused to bow to your father 'Adam, he refused to bow to you, so why have you become his friend and left us?

If there was any love in your heart, it's effect would appear on your body."

For indeed, You erase whatever You wish, and You write down and uphold whatever You wish."

Prophet Muhammad said:

'Let one of you acquire a thankful heart, a tongue that remembers Allah and a believing wife who will help him with regard to the Hereafter.' "

مَن وَثِقَ بِاللَّهِ فِي رِزْقِهِ زَادَ فِي حُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ، وَأَعْقَبَهُ الْحِلْمُ، وَسَخَتْ نَفْسُهُ فِي نَفَقَتِهِ، وَقَلَّتْ وَسَاوِسُهُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ

“Whoever trusts in Allah regarding his provision, his good character increases; forbearance follows him, his soul becomes generous in spending, and his doubts during prayer decrease.”

I prayed to Allah to bless me with a husband who would pour love on me in abundance and worship Allah a lot, so Allah blessed her with Talha ibn Ubaidullah رضي الله عنه (one of those who was promised Paradise)

The Salaf reported from her that she said:

If he saw me, he would rejoice when he heard my voice. He would smile when I smile, and if I cried, he would cry.

He would not sleep until he was reassured that I was warm in my bed, and he would not leave a prayer without praying for me in it before himself.

And if I became ill, he would share my pain as though the illness was in his body, and he would not be at ease until he would make me sit next to him, and whenever he ate he would start with the morsel to my mouth and feed me with his hand.

I was his pride and honour in secret and in public.

“The blessings that descend upon children are due to the deeds (actions) of their parents,

and the blessings that descend upon parents are due to the supplications (dua) of their children.”

Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله :

‎“I think part of the test is when a believer supplicates and receives no response, and he repeats the du‘ā’ for a long time and sees no sign of a response. He should realise that this is a test and needs patience.”

“It is better for you to carry [heavy] stones with the pious than to eat sweets with the wicked!”
