SO there’s this band from Houston, Texas called Waterparks. They currently are made up of 3 members, lead singer and frontman Awsten Knight, guitarist Geoff Wiggington and drummer Otto Wood. As of early 2024, Waterparks has 3 EPs, 5 studio albums, and one live album. Awsten has a liking for dying his hair, and changes the color with the band’s album cycles, typically matching the album cover (with the exception of the Double Dare era, where Awsten kept the same hair color through it as the previous era). During the release process of studio album #3, Entertainment, Waterparks released their song titled “Blonde” and Awsten soon started calling fans of the band Blondes. This changed during the next album cycle, though. Fandom track 10, titled “I Miss Having Sex But At Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore” became part of a tiktok trend and started earning the band much more popularity than they previously had. With this new crowd, the term “Parxie” (n. or adj. depending on context) was coined to refer to someone who is a fan of Waterparks.
