also like bc i lived in japan for a bit, there are absolutely horsegirls there too but its more rare bc (as far as i can tell) horse riding for pleasure as a structured hobby, or the english or western disciplines (for obvious reasons) has never been too big there, so its still mostly between “farm horse” (but they have their own farm horse culture with contests n stuff! see Silver Spoon which is a cool series esp if ur interested in northern japan) and “race horse” and ofc historically for transport and battle. but nowadays i think english riding is gaining more popularity - there were english riding schools being advertised where i lived. (i dont say that as a “good thing” just a neutral note)

like, all those books are either going to need to be reprinted or jessica is going to have to change her name. at least in the second case there’s some growth, and of course i’d heavily prefer it. not going to put it past sso to suddenly reprint their books and change their quest dialogue, though.

also, there’s no like controversy around the name jessica to my knowledge. unless they think jessica rabbit is getting confused for the dark rider. which i dont think anyone has ever done.
