I did these redesigns of optimus prime, bumblebee, and soundwave last year. I was originally also going to do starscream and shockwave too but I never got around to finishing them.

Some more Lost in Space stuff I did recently. This is my redesign of the robot for how I thought it might look in a modern animated series. I wanted to try and update the original 60s design by combining different elements of all the various robots from over the years while still staying true to its retro look and feel. My back story for the robot is that it and the Jupiter 2 where both reverse engineered from alien technology to help humans escape to Alpha Centauri after their first attempt to use that same technology ruined earths atmosphere. but after Dr. Smith implants a virus in the robot to make it sabotage the mission Will Robinson is able to purge the robots systems saving his family from destruction but leaving them lost in space. After this the robot has to rebuild its entire personality and thanks to its alien origin it becomes sentient and is made an official member of the Robinson family and Wills best friend.

Hi I'm ParmesanPlatypus and this my first post on tumblr. This is the first big drawing in done in a while. It's a tribute to the various robots from Lost in Space which is one of my favorite robots right up there with R2-D2, Johnny 5, Robby the robot, and WALL-E. I wanted this drawing to include as many of the robots as possible. It features the original B-9 robot from the 60s TV show including the season 1 version with silver claws, the seasons 2 and 3 version with red claws, the golden version, and the evil antimatter version. It Also included are the mechanical men which where made from remco robot toys, Robon from the Hannah Barbara animated special, Pops from mystery island (who was made from the original B-9 robot costume), and the robot from the innovation comics. From the 90s movie is the rambler crane series robot including the future version as seen on board the proteus and the version rebuilt by Will Robinson in an alternate future (which is my personal favorite version of the Lost in Space robot). Next is the robot from the un aired Lost in Space pilot from 2005 which looks almost like a Star Wars medical droid (and which I had to guess on some of the details on because I couldn't really find any clear reference pictures for). And last but not least is the robot from the 2018 Netflix series including both its humanoid and alien forms. l originally wanted to include some of the other robots from that show like Scarecrow and SAR but they wouldn't fit but that's ok because the Netflix robots are hard to draw anyway. I also added some different versions of the Jupiter 2 flying in the background too.
