“Lost in Space” blueprints
The saucer was originally called Gemini 12 in the original pilot. It had only one inhabitable level.
In the second pilot, the ship was rechristened the Jupiter 2, and a lower deck was established. The size of the model was not changed significantly, except to add view ports.
In the third season of the show, a third level was revealed - an engineering deck below the living quarters. Like the TARDIS, the Jupiter 2 must have been bigger on the inside because there was no way a third floor could fit.
Later fans would redesign the blueprints to try and make room for the lower decks. This usually involved significantly increasing the diameter of the saucer.
The Jupiter 2 encounters the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Zintak technologies maintains not one, but 3 mechs:
Jupiter 1 and pilot Callisto
Jupiter 2 and pilot Ganymede
Jupiter 3 with pilot Io
Fun facts:
Zintak maintains strict privacy when it comes to their pilots. As such, almost nothing is known about them. Publicly at least.
Jupiter pilots are referred to as satellites, and assigned the titles of Callisto, Ganymede and Io.
Zintak is the only company with more than one mech, which gives them a lot of political power in the Alliance.
Jupiter 1 is the oldest active mech, and Jupiter 3 the newest.
Jupiter 2 is the largest, strongest mech and most diffcult to pilot mech.Because of that is colloquially referred to as "the brute".

Lost in Space Japanese Book and Record - Asahi Sonorama (1966)
love the crossover comic 🥹
The final episode of Lost in Space aired on March 6, 1968. Sadly, the series ended with the no resolution so apparently they are still lost in space. The episode marked the only time in the series that the Jupiter 2 fired a missle. Some viewers have noted that the Statue of Liberty prop from the Planet of the Apes can be seen in the junk yard.
