Hello! I’m Parker!

My main is basically just for me to lurk, so any actual posts I make are gonna be here now. It just feels less cluttered. This was originally going to be just my art blog but I think I’ll probably treat it more like a regular blog. (My main where I follow from is @/bee-bumble)

I have a whole lot of interests and I rapidly switch through them. I won’t go through the trouble of listing them all, but the fandoms you’ll most likely see me mainly post about are Dream SMP, My Little Pony, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Little Nightmares!

There's a shot near the end of PHM that reminded me of the first piece of artwork made in space: “Orbital Sunrise" 1965

The shot is around 2:27:01 and looks like this:

This is the sketch done by Alexei Leonov using special pencils that were created to be used in orbit drawn during the Voskhod 2 mission (the first space walk!)

I wanted to find a source for this image:

which is somewhat well known but I could find a reference or a source for it :<

But! Leonov was an accomplished artist who made many works involving cosmonauts and space:

But it looks soo similar I cant help but think that it was inspired by Leonov's art

I love Project Hail Mary and I love art and art of space in particular, and these illustrations are gorgeous and fitting for inspiration for the film

Alexei Leonov was a prolific and talented artist, and drew and painted many pictures inspired by his experiences in space

This particular picture is rather special though, because he drew the first draft for it while in space using coloured pencils he took with him:

Finally watched Project Hail Mary and I’m not much of a sci-fi guy but it was so good??? I see the hype now I understand it so much. All the characters are so endearing
