Pyrography and Gallimaufry

Throwback Thursday to my 2011 shadowbox with a Wonderland theme. I’ve certainly improved in the last six years...

I didn’t find this, per se; one of my acquaintances did. But he posted a pic of it and I saw it and NEEEEEEEEEDED it. So lucky he was able to snag it for me! So this is, from what my mother tells me, an old (late seventies maybe?) potpourri holder. The light at the top heats up the potpourri in the bowl. This one’s all hand-made from real starfish and a coconut. SO freaking tacky! <3

Booth setup, Steampunk World’s Fair 2017 Embassy Suites hotel room, split between three vendors; I had one 6′ table and one 4″ raised table. Also a bottom shot of my revised-but-still-in-progress Twilight Sparkle. Sadly, it’s not the best angle. The bustle is “held up” with cutie marks. Since I was also vending, I didn’t bother with much makeup or the purple-and-pink wig.
